Elisabeth Hasselback Joins ‘Fox & Friends’

Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s saying bye-bye to The View and hello to voicing her opinions on Fox’s Fox & Friends. Hasselbeck will become the new co-host of the show alongside Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade starting in September. And Fox & Friends‘ current co-host, Gretchen Carlson, will move to a 1 hour daytime program in the fall.

Executive Vice President of Programming for Fox News Bill Shine made the announcement, and Fox News Chairman and & CEO Roger Ailes commented on Hasselbeck’s new job, stating: “Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View. She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

“I have been a long-time fan of Fox & Friends and am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home,” said Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck’s The View co-host Barbara Walters commented, “We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”
