‘True Blood’ Season 6 Episode 5 Preview

Every week just prior to a new True Blood episode I have to repeat to myself, “The TV series has absolutely nothing to do with the books.” And that’s true this season more so than any of the previous seasons. Alcide’s not an all-around good guy? What? And Sam loses the love of his life only to make out with pretty much a random stranger within hours of Luna’s death? Who are these characters, and what did they do with Charlaine Harris’ creations?

And don’t even get me started on what’s going on with Bill/Lilith/Billith… Missing this season is the humor and surprisingly, the characters seem to stay clothed more than in the past five years. The absence of Alan Ball is surely felt in every episode of season six thus far.
