Gin Blossoms Help Out Typhoon Victims

Gin Blossoms Help Typhoon Victims

Gin Blossoms have announced proceeds from their November 21, 2013 Stage 48 performance in New York City will go toward helping out victims of Typhoon Haiyan (also known as Typhoon Yolanda). Proceeds from the Stage 48 concert will be donated to the Philippine Red Cross.

Said the band’s Robin Wilson: “We hope everyone will come to Stage 48 this coming Thursday, Nov 21st for a Rockin’ fun night and help the Philippine people in need!”

The Philippine Red Cross is trying to assist more than 20,000 families who were left homeless and are now sheltered in 300+ evacuation centers. Money raised from the Gin Blossoms concert will go toward helping the Philippine Red Cross purchase food, blankets, hygiene kits, and essential non-food supplies to those in need.

Per the official announcement:

“Gin Blossoms would like to encourage their friends and fans to make a monetary donation at the following link: ushare.redcross.org.ph/. “Any amount our fans and friends can afford will offer much relief to affected families fast” says Robin. “We performed in Manila less than a month ago. It’s so tragic that this has affected so many of those wonderful people” says Jesse.”
