7 Films Still in the Running for the Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar

Seven films are still in consideration for the 2014 Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar, with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Branch now tasked with watching 10 minute excerpts from the film’s remaining in consideration. After watching the excerpts, three films will move forward as Oscar nominees.

American Hustle
Dallas Buyers Club
The Great Gatsby
Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa
The Lone Ranger
 
The Lone Ranger? Really?
 
The nominees will be announced on January 16, 2014 at 5:30am PT. The 2014 Academy Awards will take place on March 2nd.
