The CW’s just opted not to give new season orders to Hart of Dixie and The Messengers, according to tweets from executive producers. Hart of Dixie‘s season four finale will serve as the series finale of the drama series starring Rachel Bilson, Wilson Bethel, Kaitlyn Black, Cress Williams, and Scott Porter.
Taking to Twitter, executive producer Leila Gerstein and the cast thanked fans of the series:
Thank you to all our amazing fans! It has been a joy to call Bluebell home for the last 4 years. I will miss the cast, the crew, and all

Meanwhile, The Messengers had an incredibly short run on The CW. The series has only aired three episodes, but it’s posted such low ratings that The CW has opted not to give it a second season order. However, the entire first season will still air. Executive producer Trey Calloway, series creator Eoghan O’Donnell, and the show’s official Twitter account broke the news.
Don't worry, #TheMessengers fans! It's true there won't be a 2nd season on the CW, but the first season will air – and has a satisfying end!

#TheMessengers has been cancelled, but the whole first season will still air. Don't go anywhere! You've got to see how it ends!
