The cast is filling out for Netflix’s adaptation of Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets. The upcoming series doesn’t have an official title, but it does have Rebecca Hall (The Beauty, Passing) on board to play Katherine Solomon.
Hall is joining Morgan Spector (The Gilded Age), who was just announced on July 27 to lead the series as Robert Langdon. Author Dan Brown co-created the series and is set to executive produce. Co-creator Carlton Cuse (The Strain, Jack Ryan, Bates Motel) will be the showrunner, writer, and also executive produce, along with Emma Forman and Zoe Robyn.
“In Dan Brown’s thrilling novel, symbologist Robert Langdon races against ancient forces and time to rescue a missing scientist and her groundbreaking manuscript whose discoveries have the power to forever change humanity’s understanding of the mind,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “The series adaptation (currently untitled) will blend futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering on the heart-pounding suspense and international intrigue that has made the Langdon stories a global phenomenon.”
The Secret of Secrets is the sixth book in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series. It was preceded by Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, and Origin.
