James Durbin Debut Album Set for November Release

James Durbin, the American Idol finalist who brought a heavy metal edge to the mainstream singing competition, will be releasing his debut album on Wind-up Records on November 21, 2011. Durbin’s been busy in the studio working with Motley Crue’s Mick Mars on Memories of a Beautiful Disaster, but not so busy that Durbin couldn’t shoot a short behind-the-scenes video:

On Twitter Durbin supplied this description of his upcoming album:

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! The album is kind of a hybrid of Aerosmith & My Chemical Romance!”

The first two singles off of Memories of a Beautiful Disaster will be “Stand Up,” which is already available on the Official Gameday Music of the NFL Vol. 2 EP, and “Love Me Bad” (according to USA Today).
