Are you a fan of Bridesmaids? Do you think The Help was 2011’s best film? Or maybe you’re more into action films like Thor, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, or Captain America. Those films are among the choices in the 2012 People’s Choice Awards ‘Favorite Movie’ category. Voting’s now open at www.PeoplesChoice.com in all 41 categories, with the top 5 vote-getters in each category moving on to become the official nominees for the People’s Choice Awards.
The nominees will be announced on November 8, 2011. The show is set to air on January 11, 2012 on CBS.
In addition to the usual categories, online voters chose to add six new categories this year:

Favorite Book Adaptation
Favorite TV Celebreality Star
Favorite Album of the Year
Favorite Tour Headliner
