The cast of Showtime’s Ray Donovan has increased by one. James Woods has signed on to play Patrick ‘Sully’ Sullivan in the series set to debut in June 2013. And according to the network, Woods will start work on the series next week in Los Angeles.
The cast is led by Liev Schreiber and features Jon Voight, Elliott Gould, Eddie Marsan, and Dash Mihok. Allen Coulter (Sons of Anarchy) directed the pilot episode and is a producer on the series.
The Plot:
Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, Ray Donovan does the dirty work for LA’s top power players. The one-hour drama series stars Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This powerful drama unfolds when his father (Voight) is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.
