Joel McHale to Host a New Show on Netflix

Joel McHale will be hosting what’s described as a “weekly, topical series” on Netflix beginning Sunday, February 18, 2018. The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale will be executive produced by – of course – Joel McHale, along with Paul Feig, KP Anderson, Jessie Henderson, Brad Stevens, and Boyd Vico.

Season one will consist of 13 half-hour episodes that will tape on Thursdays for broadcast the following Sunday. The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale will be filmed in Los Angeles at the Sunset Bronson Studios.

McHale was most recently seen starring in the comedy series, The Great Indoors. McHale’s best known for his role as Jeff Winger, a suspended lawyer forced to return to community college, on the half-hour comedy, Community. The award-winning series ran from 2009-2015 and co-starred Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong.

McHale recently wrapped up work on Assassination Nation with Bill Skarsgard, Suki Waterhouse, Bella Thorne, and Cody Christian; A Futile and Stupid Gesture playing Chevy Chase; and The Happytime Murders with Elizabeth Banks, Melissa McCarthy, and Maya Rudolph.
