American Horror Story series creator Ryan Murphy used Twitter to announce the casting of Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest woman. Amge has joined the cast of the fourth season of FX’s American Horror Story titled American Horror Story: Freak Show and set in Jupiter, Florida in the ’50s.
The Nagpur, India native stands just over 2′ tall and is the world record holder as the smallest woman in history. Amge weighs less than 15 pounds and wears specially designed clothes and jewelry due to her size which is caused by a growth anomaly called achondroplasia. She’s been interested in acting for years and starred in the documentary Body Shock: Two Foot High Teen.
