Sons of Anarchy‘s Katey Sagal and Game of Thrones‘ Ciaran Hinds have joined the cast of Bleed for This, the dramatic film based on true events and starring Miles Teller. Ben Younger (Prime) is writing, producing, and directing the film, with Martin Scorsese, Michelle Verdi, and Joshua Sason executive producing.
Verdi Productions’ Chad A. Verdi is producing with Bruce Cohen, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and Noah Kraft.
Teller (The Spectacular Now) will be playing boxer Vinny Pazienza. Hinds will play his father, Angelo, while Sagal is tackling the role of Vinny’s mother, Louise.
The Plot:
Miles Teller stars as the five-time world champion boxer Vinny Paz who was injured in a near-fatal car crash at the peak of his career that left him with a broken neck. Not knowing if he’d ever walk again, he made an incredible comeback, and after months of recovery and against doctors’ orders, Paz went back to the gym under the guidance of infamous trainer Kevin Rooney (Aaron Eckhart) and made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later.
