ABC’s made it official: Both Malibu Country and Last Man Standing have received orders for five additional episodes. The popular comedies make up ABC’s Friday night comedy block and have been big ratings winners for the network.

Last Man Standing claims the top spot as the #1 show on Fridays at 8pm, and it’s increased its viewership by 76% year-over-year. Malibu Country has been able to retain viewers from its lead-in, Last Man Standing, while also increasing its audience year-over-year. And it’s the “most-watched freshman comedy this season,” according to ABC, averaging 8.7 million viewers. The network also announced Malibu Country “opened as Friday’s top-rated scripted series debut on any network in over 5 years — since October 2007.”

More on Last Man Standing:

Men may have built civilizations, invented the locomotive, the car, bacon western cheeseburgers, and ESPN, but they’re about to find out that it’s not a man’s world anymore.

More on Malibu Country:

When Reba Gallagher (Reba McEntire) discovers her husband Russell (Jeff Nordling), a country music legend, has a cheatin’ heart…her world blows up, right along with the family fortune. Reba dreamt of becoming a country star herself, but put her career on hold to raise a family with Russell. Now, she’s questioning all of that, big-time. With the ink on her divorce barely dry, Reba packs up her sharp-tongued mother Shirley (Lily Tomlin), her three kids, and the U-Haul, and heads for sunny California to begin a new chapter. Leaving Nashville in the rear view, they’re moving to Malibu, to the last remaining asset they have left – a little beach house. But liberal LaLa Land is quite an adjustment for this traditional Southern Belle. From the Bentleys to the Malibu Barbies, the West Coast seems like the polar opposite of Music City, and Reba feels like an outsider. But with the support of her family, she sets about finding her voice, jump starting her music career, and embracing this chance to begin again.
