How popular are James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke videos? So popular that CBS will be showcasing them in the one-hour The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special. The special is set to air on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT and will feature a new Carpool Karaoke segment with actress/singer Jennifer Lopez. According to CBS, the special will also feature highlights from James Corden’s other karaoke videos along with the late-night talk show host’s favorite moments from year one of his hosting gig.
“I have loved every minute of hosting The Late Late Show. It’s been an incredible year,” said James Corden. “I look forward to this hour on primetime to look at some of my favorite moments and share a couple of great new ones. I can’t wait!”
“We are so excited to be doing this show in primetime on CBS,” said Ben Winston, executive producer of The Late Late Show with James Corden. “It has been the most wonderful first year on air, and to celebrate the season this way is really special. The show will include a mix of fun new moments and some of our favorite bits from this past year.”

Corden’s Carpool Karaoke video with Grammy-winning artist Adele holds the top spot as the most viewed YouTube video among all late night shows. To date the clip’s been watched more than 84 million times, and overall The Late Late Show‘s YouTube channel has amassed more than 800 million views since March 2015. In addition to Adele, Corden’s Carpool Karaoke partners have included Chris Martin of Coldplay, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Elton John, and Carrie Underwood.
