TCM Plans a Lauren Bacall Marathon

Legendary silver screen star Lauren Bacall will be honored by Turner Classic Movies (TCM) with a special marathon of 11 of her classic films, including all four films she made with her husband, Humphrey Bogart. The marathon will take place on September 15 and 16th, kicking off with a screening of Private Screenings: Lauren Bacall (2005), an in-depth interview with Bacall hosted by Robert Osborne.

Bacall, who passed away on August 12, 2014 as the result of a stroke, would have turned 90 on September 16th.

“Lauren Bacall was a wonderful and generous friend of ours at TCM, and a great connection to the ‘golden age of cinema,'” said TCM host Robert Osborne. “Personally, I have to admit that she never failed to make my heart beat faster and my voice to stammer when we spoke. Talk about true star quality – that was Bacall. We are truly blessed to have had her as an integral part of our TCM family.”
