David Ramsey’s expecting big things for John Diggle on season three of The CW’s Arrow. “You can expect Diggle with a Bjorn and a Glock, at the same time,” said Ramsey, laughing, at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con. “The Bjorn is not a joke. That actually might happen. Daddy Diggle – he will have a child legitimately and it will cause some tension with the team. Not so much with Diggle because Diggle is very clear on his purpose. He doesn’t see why a personal life should hinder that, but Oliver may have some issues with that as early as the first episode. It’s going to come out very, very soon.”
Fans of the series will also see a more fleshed-out arc for Diggle over the course of the third season. “The relationship with Lyla…I mean, it’s The CW so it kind of skews young, but that’s a very adult relationship. Lyla and Diggle, they have a long history back in the military. There will be some of that, you’ll see some of that again from the beginning. They’ll go forward with that as she leads A.R.G.U.S., is now the leader of A.R.G.U.S. and how Diggle gets more involved with A.R.G.U.S. and the suicide squad. So, the return of the suicide squad, more A.R.G.U.S., daddy time…so you’re going to see a lot more of Diggle’s personal side.”
