Game of Thrones‘ Lena Headey will star in the horror film Jacqueline Ess based on Clive Barker’s short story Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament. Variety< says Headey has landed the lead role in the film set up with Raven Banner Entertainment and Seraphim Films producing.
Jovanka Vukovic and Christian Francis adapted Barker’s story of the screen, and Vukovic will make his directorial debut with the project.
“Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence,” said executive producer Clive Barker in a statement to Variety. “As far as I’m concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day.”
Jacqueline Ess, the story of a woman who can change people’s bodies, was part of Barker’s Books of Blood anthology.
