Made in Jersey is Out, Undercover Boss Returns

Undercover BossMade in Jersey has the (dis)honor of being the first series pulled off of the 2012-2013 television season. The show, which hasn’t officially been cancelled by CBS, stars Janet Montgomery as a street-smart Jersey Girl who works at a Manhattan law firm. The series didn’t catch on with viewers, attracting even less viewers than last year’s cancelled A Gifted Man during the same time slot.

CBS will be replacing Made in Jersey with new episodes of the reality series Undercover Boss. As of November 2, 2012, Undercover Boss returns for season four in the 8-9pm ET/PT time slot. The first episode will feature Mitchell B Modell, CEO of Modell’s Sporting Goods, as the boss undercover. Modell’s Sporting Goods is “America’s oldest family-owned-and-operated retailer of sporting goods, athletic footwear, active apparel and fan gear.”

Also donning a disguise and taking a job on the front line are:

– Tilted Kilt (Ron Lynch, President): Founded in 2003, Tilted Kilt is one of the fastest growing restaurant franchises in the nation with 65 restaurants across the U.S. The Celtic-themed sports pub and restaurant features servers wearing sexy tartan outfits.

– Cinnabon Inc. (Kat Cole, President): Cinnabon Inc., now synonymous with the cinnamon roll, is the most recognized sticky, gooey, sweet treat in America. These popular cinnamon rolls can be found in more than 770 franchised baked goods outlets.

CSI: NY will move to 9-10pm ET/PT beginning October 12, 2012.

Details on Undercover Boss [Courtesy of CBS]:

Undercover Boss earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality Program in 2012. Each week, the series follows a different executive as they leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies. While working alongside their employees, they see the effects their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organizations and get an up-close look at both the good and the bad while discovering and rewarding the unsung heroes who make their companies run.
