MTV2 Unveils Its 2014 Programming Slate

Jobs That Don’t Suck joins the 2014 lineup on MTV2 alongside Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out, Guy Code, and Charlamagne and Friends. The network’s coming off its biggest ratings year to date, with 2013’s Ain’t That America with Lil Duval, Guy Code, Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family, Hip Hop Squares, and Nitro Circus Live now five of MTV2’s six highest-rated original shows in the network’s history.

Ain’t That America with Lil Duval (premieres January 15 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT):
In MTV2’s highest-rated original series of all-time, comedian Lil Duval and a panel of his funniest friends explore America’s biggest cultural traditions from camping and Christmas to parenting and pets through the most outrageous viral videos spanning across every social and geographic group in the country. The first season of Ain’t That America with Lil Duval ranked as the No. 1 original cable series in its time slot among P12-34.

Charlamagne and Friends (premieres January 15 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT):
The series is hosted by Guy Code and Guy Court star Charlamagne tha God, who will be joined by a variety of friends, including artists, athletes and comedians, as they give their unfiltered opinions on the biggest music and pop culture stories. In the season premiere, Charlamagne will interview Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and Tika Sumpter of Ride Along.

Guy Code (premieres April 2014):
Guy Code is the ultimate guy’s guide to the laws of manhood, creating the ultimate playbook for all guys to follow. In the fourth season of Guy Code, the show will return its favorite cast members from the previous three seasons, as they revisit key topics with updated tips, insights, and intelligence.

Jobs That Don’t Suck (premieres April 2014):
MTV2’s brand new, half-hour comedy series is designed to help you find your dream job, by revealing how people – just like you – found theirs. Each week Andrew Schulz, Eddie Huang and Nessa hilariously guide viewers through the innovative ways that young Americans are getting rich by doing what they love. Viewers will meet millionaires, entrepreneurs, inventors, app developers, YouTube sensations, CEOs and even a few teenagers who have killer jobs, as they all reveal the secrets to their success.

Untitled Major League Baseball Series (premieres April 2014):
This new series will launch a multi-year programming partnership between MTV and the MLB, with the weekly show moving beyond game analysis, stats and highlights to showcase MLB athletes off the field, spotlighting the stars’ personalities and passions through a series of player interviews and features, in addition to celebrity appearances. The series will be shot in New York City from inside the MLB Fan Cave, MLB’s first-of-its-kind space that mixes baseball with music, pop culture, media, interactive technology, and art.

Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out (premieres summer 2014):
Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out mixes lightning fast comedic improv, head-to-head competition and cutting edge entertainment that’s more rap battle than comedic stage. The most recent season featured appearances from today’s hottest celebrities, including Mariah Carey and Kevin Hart, as well as musical performances from Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, Macklemore, MGK and more.
