CBS’s Criminal Minds will be celebrating its 200th episode this season and a familiar face from its past will be putting in an appearance. The network says Paget Brewster will be reprising her role as Emily Prentiss for the milestone episode. Brewster played Emily for six seasons before leaving the show on May 16, 2012.
“Our 200th episode is going to be a special show,” stated Executive Producer/Showrunner Erica Messer. “We can’t imagine telling this story without Paget being present.”
According to the official announcement, the episode’s plot is as follows:
“In the episode, glimpses into the past shed light onto what happened to JJ Jareau (A.J. Cook) during her year away from the BAU, and will also prove valuable in the team’s efforts to solve a present-day case.”
