Phillip Phillips and O.A.R. Hit the Road to Help Habitat for Humanity

Phillip Phillips and O.A.R. Concert Tour benefits Habitat for Humanity

American Idol‘s Phillip Phillips and rockers O.A.R. will be on the road together this summer and both acts have committed to helping raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity during their upcoming tour. Phillips and O.A.R.’s summer tour will kick off on June 12, 2014 in St. Louis, hitting 24 cities and finishing up on July 26th in Atlanta.

$1 of every ticket sold during the tour will be donated to help Habitat for Humanity provide affordable housing for low-income families. And VIP tickets that include an opportunity to meet Phillips and O.A.R. will be auctioned off online to raise additional funds for the non-profit organization.

Habitat for Humanity will also be given 10 tickets to each concert to be used by staff, volunteers, and the “Habitat partner homeowner families.”

“My team has personally seen the incredible impact Habitat for Humanity can have on lives. We have worked on builds from the Musician’s Village rebuild in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to local neighborhoods in my community,” said Phillip Phillips. “Habitat’s roots stem from my home state of Georgia but their reach is now worldwide I am honored to partner with Habitat for Humanity in carrying out their mission – to build homes, communities, and hope.”

“Home means everything to us. It’s our DNA. It’s who we are,” stated Marc Roberge of O.A.R. “We had the chance to meet amazing people building Habitat for Humanity homes in LA, pouring love and sweat into the foundation, taking pride in the work they were doing, alongside the Habitat partner family, and it was an honor to be a part of that. Words can’t properly describe the positive swell that brought to our hearts. We hope the donation from our tour will help families, like the ones we met, achieve their dreams of homeownership.”
