Pitch Slapped will debut on Lifetime on January 5, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, launching a season one run of eight hour-long episodes. The docuseries focuses on two teams of competitive a cappella singers from New Jersey who will be coached by two of the best a cappella coaches in the industry: Deke Sharon and Diana Preisler. The two teams – Stay Tuned from Cherry Hill and The Voices from Allendale – will compete each week leading up to the ultimate champion sing off.

Stephen Lambert, Greg Goldman, Glenn Schubert, Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue, and Colleen Conway Grogan executive produce.

Deke Sharon is contemporary a cappella’s most prolific arranger and currently producing The Sing-Off worldwide. He also served as arranger, on-site music director and vocal producer for the highly successful feature films Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. Sharon is the founder, director and arranger for the pioneering a cappella group House Jacks and has shared the stage with countless music legends, including Ray Charles, James Brown, Crosby Stills and Nash, Run DMC, The Temptations, LL Cool J and the Four Tops, and performed for luminaries including President Bill Clinton.

Diana Preisler’s background as a singer, voice-over actress and performance coach has garnered her a reputation as one of the most respected a cappella coaches in the industry. Preisler has toured the world as the manager, artistic director and lead female singer of successful a cappella group, and international vocal sensation Blue Jupiter, and has been featured on Nickelodeon, the Huffington Post and Oprah. She can often be found sitting on panels for prestigious a cappella competitions around the country. She’s graced the theatrical stage on multiple national Broadway tours, such as Fiddler on the Roof and A Christmas Carol.
