Deadline’s reporting that Rachelle Lefevre has joined the cast of CBS’ Under the Dome, the upcoming series based on the book by Stephen King. Lefevre will star opposite Dean Norris and Mike Vogel in the sci-fi drama series set to air this summer.
Lefevre is best known to millions of Twilight fans as the actress who played evil vampire Victoria in Twilight and New Moon. She was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in Eclipse. Lefevre was also a part of the short-lived series A Gifted Man.
The 13-episode Under the Dome series will debut on June 24, 2013. Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment is producing and Niels Arden Oplev (Dead Man Down, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) will direct episode one.
The Plot:
Under the Dome is the story of a small New England town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.
