Reba McEntire Will Host and Perform on the 2018 CMA Country Christmas Special

Country superstar Reba McEntire will once again handle hosting duties on the year-end primetime holiday special, CMA Country Christmas. Reba McEntire will host the Country music-filled special for the second year in a row, and she’ll be performing for the third time on the popular holiday show.

The ninth annual CMA Country Christmas will feature acts including Tony Bennett, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Diana Krall, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, The Isaacs, and Brett Young.

“I’ve always cherished celebrating Christmas alongside family and friends, taking time to reflect on the season,” said Reba McEntire, commenting on the announcement. “I’m so excited CMA invited me back to host their show and am looking forward to fun singing carols with my friends.”

Tickets for the CMA Country Christmas taping will go on sale via CMAchristmas.com beginning Monday, August 27, 2018 at 10am CT. This year’s special will be held at the Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashville.

The Country Music Association will be teaming up with Uber to offer discounted rides to the CMA Country Christmas taping. Per CMA: “All CMA Country Christmas attendees will can receive “20 percent off rides to and from Curb Event Center starting at 12:01 AM/CT on Sept. 27 (up to $5 per ride; code expires at 11:59 PM/CT on Sept. 27). Attendees can download or open the Uber app, go to Payment > Promotions > Apply Promo Code, and apply the code CMACHRISTMAS to receive the discount.”

The two-hour special will air on ABC later this year. 2018’s CMA Country Christmas will be written by Jon Macks, directed by Paul Miller, and executive produced by Robert Deaton.
