Rita Coolidge will be kicking off her annual Christmas tour on October 12, 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Grammy-winning artist will also be releasing A Rita Coolidge Christmas, her first album on the 429 Records label, on October 30th.
Coolidge is well known for her Christmas tours and with the new album she’ll be trying to capture that spirit for fans who don’t have the opportunity to see her on the road. Joining Coolidge on A Rita Coolidge Christmas are John McDuffie (guitar), John Thomas (keyboards), Lynn Coulter (drums) and Randy Landas (bass). The 12 track album includes classics as well as a couple of originals just for this special holiday-themed release.
Says Rita: “Everyone who knows me or has seen me perform knows I love Christmas and the music of the season. The Christmas show is very eclectic and I think the album reflects all the different styles we do very well.”
