The action thriller Idol’s Eye has nabbed Robert De Niro in a starring role. De Niro has joined Robert Pattinson for the heist film which will be directed by Olivier Assayas. Benaroya Pictures announced the casting and also said they expect filming to kick off in October 2014 in Toronto and Chicago.
An official synopsis has yet to be released, however Benaroya Pictures describes the project as a sophisticated thriller.
Ben Sachs is on board as an executive producer with Charles Gillibert, Scott Stuber, Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Michael Benaroya producing.
Assayas’ directing credits include Something in the Air, Carlos the Jackal, Boarding Gate, Paris, je t’aime, and Clean.
