William Shatner Gets a Make-Over

No, William Shatner isn’t going under the knife or having extreme Botox treatments; the ‘make-over’ Shatner’s receiving is of the home remodeling variety. The DIY Network will be following Shatner’s home renovation with a special five part series titled The Shatner Project.
 
There’s no word yet on whether the design for his home improvements includes a life-size model of the deck of the U.S.S. Enterprise installed in his living room. The series is currently in production with Scott Sternberg’s company producing the special series. DIY Network expects to air The Shatner Project later this year.
 
“I am embracing change,” said Shatner. “Our home will be unfamiliar territory for a while but I am excited by all of it.”

The Plot:
 
During the series, Shatner and his wife Liz, with the help of a construction team, will gut their 1970s-style California home, including the kitchen, living room and dining room. The couple also will renovate the front patio area in order to create the perfect place for big family parties, as well as remodel Shatner’s favorite hangout spot, the media room.
