Season eight of NBC’s singing competition series The Voice could have the best coaching panel yet as the network just announced Pharrell Williams will return for his second season in the coach’s chair. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are also coming back, as is Christina Aguilera. Levine and Shelton have yet to take a season off, while original The Voice coach Aguilera returns after taking off seasons four, six, and seven.

Season eight will begin in early 2015.

“We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can’t wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high.”

The current season of The Voice with coaches Shelton, Levine, Williams, and Gwen Stefani has been averaging 12.9 million viewers on Mondays and 13.5 million viewers on Tuesdays. It’s also the current top-rated reality show on primetime.
