AMC Networks is making the trek to the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con with panels planned for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Interview with the Vampire, Anne Rice’s Talamasca, and the author of Clown in a Cornfield. AMC Networks is also bringing stars and producers from select IFC Entertainment Group films to the sold-out pop culture convention running July 23, 2025 (Preview Night) through Sunday, July 27.

Additionally, horror fans will be treated to a special Clown in a Cornfield activation set up at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel terrace.

“Comic-Con remains the ultimate celebration of fandom and is the perfect stage to showcase AMC Networks’ most beloved franchise series and films,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “Whether it’s an autograph from Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, a first look at Sam Reid as rockstar Lestat, or a frighteningly fun encounter with Clown in a Cornfield’s Frendo, we’re thrilled to be back in San Diego offering this passionate fanbase a variety of unique and meaningful ways to connect with the stories and characters they love.”

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon panel on Friday, July 25, 12:15-1:15pm, Hall H

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon returns to Hall H for an exclusive preview of the series’ highly anticipated third season, filmed in Spain, with panelists including Chief Content Officer of the Walking Dead Universe Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner and Executive Producer David Zabel, Executive Producer and Director Greg Nicotero, Executive Producer and Star Norman Reedus, and Executive Producer and Star Melissa McBride. The panel will debut the official trailer for season three, which returns Sunday, September 7 at 9pm ET on AMC and AMC+.

Season three follows Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride) as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.

Anne Rice Immortal Universe Panel on Saturday, July 26, 4:30-6:00pm, Ballroom 20

Comic-Con attendees will be introduced to the newest series within the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and the Talamasca secretive society responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe. Panelists include Executive Producer Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe for AMC Networks, Showrunners, and Executive Producers, John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty, along with cast members Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, Celine Buckens, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Moderated by TV Guide Magazine and TV Insider’s Damian Holbrook, the panel will also debut a thrilling teaser trailer and reveal exclusive series news.

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire

The critically acclaimed, award-winning series returns to Ballroom 20 for a panel that will give attendees an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the new season and preview the story of rockstar Lestat (Sam Reid), who starts a band and heads out on tour, among other series news and on-stage surprises. Moderated by Holbrook, the panel will feature Executive Producer Mark Johnson, Showrunner and Executive Producer Rolin Jones, Composer Daniel Hart, and cast members Reid, Jacob Anderson, and Eric Bogosian.

Inspired by IFC Entertainment Group’s smash hit film CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, which makes its streaming debut on Shudder and AMC+ on August 8, Comic-Con attendees get a chance to test their mettle and evade Frendo on his cornfield home turf. The fan experience will immerse attendees within settings from the film, beginning in the town square during the Founders Day parade, which gives way to a corn maze. Once through the maze, a refuge and celebration for “survivors” awaits with the Shudder Survivors Party, featuring photo opps., games and giveaways.

Collider Ladies Night After Dark – The Women of the IFC Entertainment Group

The Ladies Night After Dark panel zeroes in on all things genre as Collider’s Perri Nemiroff puts a spotlight on the women of the IFC Entertainment Group’s hottest upcoming films. The panel celebrates the Shudder releases of CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD and DANGEROUS ANIMALS with stars Katie Douglas and Hassie Harrison and will feature a first look at FORBIDDEN FRUITS with Alexandra Shipp, who also appears in VIOLENT ENDS, and Dafne Keen and Sophie Nélisse from the hotly anticipated WHISTLE.

Adam Cesare, author of the book Clown in a Cornfield and writer on the film adaptation, which had a record-setting theatrical debut earlier this year and makes its streaming debut on Shudder and AMC+ on August 8, joins storytellers Max Allan Collins (SDCC Special Guest), Ted Van Alst Jr. (Never Whistle at Night), Arvind Ethan David (Raymond Chandler’s Trouble is My Business), and Delilah S. Dawson (Guillotine) for a discussion on building tension in mystery and horror fiction while leaving readers on the edge of their seats. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Betty Ramirez (Associate Director, UCSD Writing Center).

The Bold Voice of Contemporary Horror Panel on Friday, July 25, 4:30-5:30pm, Room 5AB

Tina Romero, director of The Independent Film Company/Shudder’s upcoming film QUEENS OF THE DEAD, join some of the most knowledgeable and influential voices in horror today to discuss the state of indie and studio horror media, and give a sneak peek at the best to come this year. Featuring exclusive footage from future releases and standoutfestival titles and a lively discussion, moderated by Overlook Film Festival Co-Founder and Director of Film Programming, Michael Lerman, with Akela Cooper (writer, M3GAN, Malignant), Peter Kuplowsky (Programmer, Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness), and Angel Melanson (journalist, Fangoria).




‘Murderbot’ Earns a Season 2 Order Ahead of Season 1’s Finale

Apple TV+ isn’t leaving fans wondering the status of Murderbot, officially announcing the series has been renewed for season two ahead of its July 11, 2025 season one finale. The sci-fi series, based on Martha Wells’ award-winning book series, stars Alexander Skarsgard as the titular character. Skarsgard also serves as an executive producer.

Chris and Paul Weitz, series creators, directors, and showrunners, commented on the renewal, saying, “We’re so grateful for the response that Murderbot has received, and delighted that we’re getting to go back to Martha Wells’s world to work with Alexander, Apple, CBS Studios and the rest of the team.”

In addition to Alexander Skarsgård, season one stars Noma Dumezweni (Presumed Innocent) as Mensah, David Dastmalchian (Oppenheimer) as Gurathin, Sabrina Wu (Joy Ride) as Pin-Lee, Akshay Khanna (Critical Incident) as Ratthi, Tattiawna Jones (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Arada, and Tamara Podemski (Outer Range) as Bharadwaj.

“Chris, Paul, Alexander, and the entire Murderbot team have delivered a brilliantly original, addictive, witty, and vibrant adaptation that has captured the imagination of audiences everywhere,” stated Matt Cherniss, head of programming, Apple TV+. “We can’t wait to unveil what’s next for Murderbot and, of course, ‘Sanctuary Moon’ in season two.”

Apple TV+’s season one synopsis: “Based on the first novella in Martha Wells’ bestselling Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series, season one of Murderbot is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.”




‘Upload’ Season 4 Preview: Premiere Date, Plot, and First Photos

Prime Video will release the fourth and final season of Upload on Monday, August 25, 2025. The series, which premiered in May 2020, is wrapping up storylines with just four new episodes.

Robbie Amell stars as Nathan, Andy Allo is Nora, Kevin Bigley plays Luke, Allegra Edwards is Ingrid, Zainab Johnson plays Aleesha, and Owen Daniels is A.I. Guy.

Prime Video offered this description of the upcoming final episodes: “Upload is a sci-fi comedy series from Emmy-winning writer Greg Daniels set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm. And, forget about dying—instead, you’ll be ‘uploaded’ to a virtual reality afterlife and enjoy all the comforts of a world-class resort. Provided you can afford it.

In the four-part series finale event, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time.”

‘Outlander: Blood of my Blood’ Unveils a Trailer and Posters

Starz’s Outlander: Blood of my Blood focuses on Jamie and Claire’s parents, exploring the love stories that gave us the beloved Outlander couple. The two-minute trailer teases that Claire’s time-traveling talent might have been inherited and that Claire and Jamie’s mothers met.

“Outlander: Blood of my Blood is a romantic saga that unfolds across time. From the battlefields of World War I to the rugged Highlands of 18th-century Scotland, two fated couples must defy the forces that seek to tear them apart, intersecting in surprising and unforeseen ways,” reads Starz’s synopsis.

The cast is led by Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston, Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp, Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie, and Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser. Tony Curran is Simon Fraser, Séamus McLean Ross is Colum MacKenzie, Sam Retford is Dougal MacKenzie, Rory Alexander is Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, and Conor MacNeill is Ned Gowan.

Season one premieres on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 8pm ET/PT on Starz. Matthew B. Roberts is the showrunner and executive produces along with Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Jim Kohlberg.

‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer: Enid’s in Big Trouble

Morticia swears she won’t let history repeat itself in the official trailer for Netflix’s Wednesday season two. Apparently the titular character has a vision of Enid dying and believes it’s all her fault. Morticia’s determined that won’t happen on her watch, and Wednesday promises she’ll save her roomie or die trying.

“Wednesday Addams (Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

Part 1 premieres on August 6, 2025, followed by Part 2 on September 3.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created the series and serve as showrunners and executive producers, with Tim Burton directing and executive producing. Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Meredith Averill, Karen Richards, Gail Berman, Jonathan Glickman, Tommy Harper, Kayla Alpert, and Kevin Miserocchi also serve as executive producers.




‘The Hunting Wives’ Preview: Trailer, Cast, Plot and Premiere Date

Lionsgate Television’s The Hunting Wives, based on May Cobb’s novel, has set a July 21, 2025 premiere date on Netflix. The trailer just dropped ahead of the series’ premiere and shows the two main characters bonding over recreational drugs, men, and murder.

Malin Akerman stars as Margo Banks and Brittany Snow plays Sophie O’Neil. The eight-episode season also stars Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Chrissy Metz as Starr Jackson, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie Baskin, and Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil. George Ferrier plays Brad Thompson and Katie Lowes is Jill Thompson.

“The Hunting Wives is a sexy drama that follows newcomer Sophie O’Neil (Snow) as she becomes entranced with Margo Banks (Åkerman), a seductive socialite, and her exclusive circle of affluent girlfriends, known as the Hunting Wives, in a small East Texas town,” reads Lionsgate Television’s synopsis. “Underneath the Southern charm lies a world of temptation and dangerous liaisons. Margo’s magnetic charm and the group’s intoxicating allure awaken Sophie’s dormant passions, leading her down a treacherous path lined with jealousy, deadly suspicion, and murder.”

Rebecca Cutter (Hightown) serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Additional executive producers include author May Cobb and Erwin Stoff. Directors include Julie Anne Robinson, Melanie Mayron, Cheryl Dunye, and Jennifer Getzinger.

Paramount+’s ‘The Lodge’ Returns to Comic-Con

Paramount+ has unveiled its plans for the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con, running July 23 through July 27 in downtown San Diego. The streamer is bringing its popular immersive fan experience “The Lodge” back to the pop culture convention for the third consecutive year. This year’s activation will be set up Happy Does (340 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101), with reservations available via Feverup.

Paramount+ also announced plans for the “Paramount+ Mountain Experience” crane challenge on the convention center floor, as well as a “Nerd Out” fan booth on the lawn outside the Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark (675 L St, San Diego).

  • Paramount Pictures invites fans to celebrate the legacy of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE franchise with an immersive experience that drops guests straight into the high-stakes world of Ethan Hunt. Die-hard fans and first-time agents alike will experience a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity in a recreation of the iconic scene from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE (1996) where Ethan is lowered into a high-security vault. Guests can strike the legendary suspended pose for a personalized image to take home of their unforgettable IMF mission.
  • Score a Touchdown at the CBS Sports Clubhouse, a stadium-inspired space repping all things THE NFL ON CBS. Fans can take a seat in the arena-style bleachers or check out a vibrant arc of all 32 jerseys, celebrating every team in the league. ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 Teaser: Question Everything

Getting to the truth is harder than ever on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show season four. The teaser shows Alex saying, “We have to question everything that we see and we hear, now more than ever.” Meanwhile, Chip needs dirt on someone, while Cory suggests it’s alway nice to get someone else to do your dirty work. Sounds like we’re in for a very juicy season.

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston lead a cast that includes Billy Crudup, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, Nestor Carbonell, Mark Duplass, and Greta Lee. Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, and Jon Hamm also star in season four.

“Season four of The Morning Show opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives, and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?”

The 10 episode fourth season premieres on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Disney+ Unveils ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2 Footage and More of ‘Alien: Earth’

Disney+’s 2025 sizzle reel showcases new footage from nine upcoming releases, including the much-anticipated second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiering in December 2025. The one-minute preview also features Marvel Television’s Wonder Man, arriving in December, and footage from Alien: Earth starring Timothy Olyphant, debuting on August 12th.

Only Murders in the Building gets its first season five teaser, and even the latest addition to the Zombies franchise, Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, gets a little promo just three days before its July 11th premiere. In addition, the minute-long video includes All’s Fair with Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson, Chad Powers starring Glen Powell, and the long-awaited return of King of the Hill on August 4th.

Rounding out the batch of promoted projects is clips from The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, streaming on August 20th.

‘Acapulco’ Season 4 Trailer Teases an Epic Makeover

Apple TV+’s dropped the official trailer for the upcoming fourth and final season of Acapulco, premiering on July 23, 2025. The two-minute trailer teases that times change, but Acapulco is forever as Máximo tries to bring back Las Colinas’ glory days.

Screen Actors Guild award winner Eugenio Derbez returns to star as Máximo and Enrique Arrizon is back as the young Máximo. The fourth and final season also stars Fernando Carsa, Rafael Cebrián, Vanessa Bauche, Camila Perez, Carlos Corona, Chord Overstreet, Regina Reynoso, Jessica Collins and Regina Orozco. The ensemble also includes Damián Alcázar, Jaime Camil, Cristo Fernández and Carolina Moreno, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Omar Chaparro. Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Omar Chaparro are recurring guest stars, and Jack McBrayer cameos.

“In season four, present-day Máximo (Eugenio Derbez) works tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco’s ‘Best Hotels,’ young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas’s future.”
