Paramount Pictures’ The Running Man featurette provides a super short peek at what Glen Powell describes as a nonstop action film. The behind-the-scenes video teases a little of what Powell went through, including training in weaponry and combat.
Joining Powell in the mayhem are William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, and Jayme Lawson. Sean Hayes, Katy O’Brian, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin also star.
“In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television—a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward,” reads Paramount Pictures’ synopsis. “Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards (Powell) is convinced by the show’s charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Brolin), to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite—and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters but a nation addicted to watching him fall.”
Edgar Wright and Michael Bacall adapted Stephen King’s novel, with Wright directing. Executive producers include George Linder, James Biddle, Rachael Prior, Audrey Chon, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary. Wright, Simon Kinberg, and Nira Park serve as producers.
The Running Man opens in theaters, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, premium large format, and IMAX on November 14, 2025.
Jack Patten stars in the titular role and Sean Bean plays the Sheriff of Nottingham in MGM+’s Robin Hood series, which just released a nearly three-minute trailer. The 10-episode season premieres on November 2, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT with the release of the first two episodes. New episodes will stream on Sundays.
The cast also includes Lauren McQueen as Marian, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. Showrunner John Glenn and director Jonathan English co-created the series and serve as executive producers along with Todd Lieberman.

Sam Claflin’s seeing dead people in the trailer for Prime Video’s Harlan Coben’s Lazarus. Bestselling author Coben’s new original series will release all six episodes on October 22, 2025.
In addition to Claflin as Joel Lazarus, the series’ cast includes Bill Nighy as Dr. Jonathan Lazarus, Alexandra Roach as Jenna Lazarus, and David Fynn as Seth McGovern. Karla Crome stars as Bella Catton and Kate Ashfield plays Detective Alison Brown.
“Harlan Coben’s Lazarus follows Joel Lazarus (Claflin) who returns home after his father Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (Nighy) dies by suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can’t be explained,” reads Prime Video’s synopsis. “He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago.”
Coben co-wrote the series with BAFTA winner Danny Brocklehurst. Executive producers include Coben, Brocklehurst, Sam Claflin, BAFTA winner Nicola Shindler, and Richard Fee. Wayne Che Yip directed the first two episodes and also executive produces. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Quay Street Productions in association with Final Twist Productions.
Lucasfilm unveiled the first teaser trailer for The Mandalorian spinoff, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, and it’s got plenty of the titular characters. The one-minute teaser also features action snippets, new creatures, and Sigourney Weaver.
Jon Favreau directs and Pedro Pascal stars, with Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce serving as producers. Ludwig Göransson composed the music.
“The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pascal) and his young apprentice, Grogu,” reads Lucasfilm’s synopsis.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu was filmed for IMAX and will open in theaters on May 22, 2026.
The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ in November 2019, followed by season two in October 2020. The eight-episode third season arrived in March 2023.
Jason Clarke stars in Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier, a new thriller set in Alaska and premiering on October 10, 2025. The trailer shows Clarke’s character, a U.S. marshal, drawn into a manhunt after a plane crash.
The 10-episode season also stars Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum, and Alfre Woodard.
“The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis. “Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”
Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio co-created the series and serve as executive producers. Series star Jason Clarke also executive produces along with Laura Benson, Glenn Kessler, and Albert Kim. Sam Hargrave directed episodes one and three and executive produced.

NBC’s added two half-hour comedies to its fall 2025 lineup beginning in November. The critically acclaimed Peacock comedy The Paper will make its broadcast debut on November 10th, with episodes airing on Mondays at 8:30pm ET/PT. Season two of St. Denis Medical will lead into it at 8pm, and The Voice will follow at 9pm.
Stumble, a cheerleading comedy, premieres on NBC on Friday, November 7th at 8:30pm ET/PT. Happy’s Place season two will air on Fridays at 8pm.
“Knowing how much The Office was beloved by a broadcast audience when it aired on NBC, we wanted to give The Paper a similar opportunity to connect,” stated Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Programming, NBCU Entertainment. “One of the strengths of our company is meeting fans where they are by delivering shows across multiple platforms to maximize exposure and engagement.”
The Paper, which currently sits as Peacock’s second-highest comedy premiere, was renewed on September 3, 2025. Per Peacock: “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.”
Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, and Gbemisola Ikumelo star along with Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez.
Stumble, described as “a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer,” stars Jenn Lyon, Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, and Jarrett Austin Brown. The cast also includes Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy, with Kristin Chenoweth appearing in a recurring role.

Eight-division world champion boxer Manny Pacquiao will compete on Netflix’sPhysical: Asia as a member of the Philippines team. The upcoming season of Physical: 100 will pit 48 contestants from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines against each other in intense physical challenges.
Each of the six-person teams has an assigned leader, with decorated MMA fighter Yushin Okami in charge of Japan. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker is Australia’s team leader, and Pacquiao heads up the Philippines team. Superbon, the Muay Thai world champion, leads Thailand, and Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan, a wrestling star, leads Mongolia.
Four-time oil wrestling champion Recep Kara is Türkiye’s team leader, while I Igedz “Executioner” leads Indonesia. UFC’ Dong-hyun “Stun Gun” Kim leads the Korean team.
“The series blends elite athleticism with cultural tradition, spotlighting disciplines from combat sports and ball games to track and field—alongside heritage events like Korean ssireum, Mongolian wrestling, Turkish oil wrestling, and Muay Thai,” reads Netflix’s synopsis. “Physical: Asia is more than a clash of athletes; it’s a showcase of heritage, pride, and physical mastery on an unprecedented global stage.”
Commenting on this new installment in the Physical franchise, producer Jang Ho-gi said, “At its heart, the Physical series is about raw competition that transcends disciplines and generations. By bringing national pride into the equation, the battles will be more intense, more emotional, and more unforgettable than ever.”
Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) stars in Apple TV+’s new thriller The Savant, premiering on Friday, September 26, 2025*. The first clip from episode one, “Whack-a-Mole,” shows Chastain as the titular character pretending to be an extremist in an online chat room.
“The tense and high-stakes limited series follows an undercover investigator known as ‘The Savant’ as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act,” reads Apple TV+’s synopsis.
The Episode One Plot: “The psychological toll of Jodi Goodwin’s double life as an undercover investigator begins to surface after a mass shooting hits close to home.”
The series also stars Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, and Toussaint Francois Battiste. Pablo Schreiber (Halo) guest stars.
Andrea Stanley, writer of the original 2019 Cosmopolitan feature, advised the series as a consultant. Series star Jessica Chastain serves as an executive producer along with Kelly Carmichael, Emmy Award winner Alan Poul (Tokyo Vice), Emmy Award nominee Melissa James Gibson (Anatomy of a Scandal), two-time DGA Award winner Matthew Heineman (A Private War), David Levine, and Garrett Kemble.
Chastain talked about her character’s job and being in such a harsh environment in an interview with Television Academy. “The idea that every single day this woman is pretending to be a hate-filled, homophobic, racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic a-hole, looking at so many images that are really harmful and destructive and having to write such things—how do you prevent that from taking over who you are? That was the most interesting thing to explore about the character,” said Chastain.

Starz’s Outlander: Blood of my Blood episode eight opens with Ellen (Harriet Slater) being bathed as wicked-looking instruments are laid out in preparation for a test of her virtue. Colum (Seamus McLean Ross) and Dougal (Sam Retford) look at the instruments and Colum orders them removed, which is one of the few instances where Colum does the right thing when it comes to his sister.
(The following episode eight recap contains spoilers.)
Colum orders the physician in charge, Davie Beaton, to do a manual inspection and to make sure Ellen passes the test. Dougal and Colum engage in a whispered discussion, and it’s clear that Colum’s worried his sister isn’t a virgin. Colum is suspicious, but Dougal doesn’t reveal he caught Ellen with Brian Fraser at the House of Nairn. Instead, he suggests that Colum should ask Ned if he witnessed anything wrong with Ellen’s behavior at Beltane.
Ned confirms he watched Ellen at Beltane, but not closely while she was with Malcolm Grant or when Jocasta accompanied her during the fertility blessings ceremony. Colum calms down a little, believing Jocasta would never cover for her sister. But the calm is short-lived, and he pledges to take the head of anyone who has been disloyal to him.
Ned (Conor MacNeill) asks Mistress Fitz (Sally Messham) if Ellen’s ready for her examination, and Mistress Fitz claims she’s pure. Mistress Fitz doesn’t directly answer Ned’s question about keeping Ellen’s secrets. Instead, she says, “Shame on all of you for putting her through such an ordeal.”
Julia (Hermione Corfield) finds Lord Lovat (Tony Curran) packing and learns he’s off to drink from the Well of Spa in Aberdeen. His physician believes that if he bathes and drinks the water, he’ll be able to keep an erection again. However, it will take at least a month to work. He’ll only be gone for as long as it takes to retrieve some of the miracle water and bring it home.
Before he leaves, Lord Lovat informs Brian (Jamie Roy) that Ellen’s going to be tested to see if she’s a virgin. He chuckles, believing there’s poetry in the fact that a MacKenzie lost her virginity to a Fraser. Brian reveals they were handfast, and Lord Lovat suggests he head to Leoch and let everyone there know.
Lord Lovat refuses to believe Brian actually cares for Ellen. He’s convinced the MacKenzies will be destroyed, and the Grants will finally side with the Frasers again.

Brian’s heard enough and storms off, prepared to rescue Ellen. His mom, Davina (Sara Vickers), tries to stop him, but Brian wants to protect Ellen. Julia joins them and Davina explains the situation, and Brian is certain Ellen will fail the test and be killed.
Julia thinks she can help, and they chase after her as she grabs ground sugar and the white of an egg. As she prepares an elixir, she explains she’s making something that should convince the examiner that Ellen’s intact. Julia explains she read about this solution in a medical text.
Davina lends a hand as Julia gathers more ingredients and announces she’ll go with Brian to Castle Leoch. Brian doesn’t want her to miss the perfect opportunity to flee, and Julia informs Davina that she’s learned her husband is the Grants’ bladier. Brian doesn’t want Julia in harm’s way, but Julia reminds him she knows a secret passage at Castle Leoch that will get her to Ellen’s chamber.
“Brian, let me do this for you,” says Julia. He reluctantly agrees, but even after Davina asks him not to go, Brian’s determined to go with Julia and keep her safe. Julia promises Davina she’ll do her best to keep Brian from doing anything reckless. Davina promises to guard William with her life while they’re gone.
Mistress Fitz has Ellen drink multiple large glasses of water because apparently this test will require her to produce clear urine. Ellen is shocked when Mistress Fitz explains Ellen will need to hold her water until she’s instructed to urinate. If it’s cloudy or she urinates early, she’ll fail the test.
Finally, Ellen admits to having sex, but Mistress Fitz incorrectly assumes it was with Murtagh. Ellen won’t name the man and Mistress Fitz believes that their only option now is to pray to pass the test.
Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Malcolm Grant (Jhon Lumsden) head to Castle Leoch with the Grant men for Ellen’s test. Malcolm firmly believes Ellen is a virtuous woman; she’s been spirited and kindhearted since they were bairns and doesn’t always act the way people expect.
Henry thinks Malcolm should put his own interests first, not his father’s. Malcolm insists it’s his decision to wed Ellen McKenzie and that she’s the one he wants by his side. Henry assures him he’ll do everything in his power to help him “secure his bride.”
Brian and Julia are also on the road to Castle Leoch when Brian stops and suggests Julia head to Castle Grant instead. It’s close by and it might be her only time to reunite with Henry. Julia points out that the last time she was on the road alone, she was abducted. She will not risk either Brian or Ellen getting caught and killed when she can help them. Brian gives in, but if it doesn’t work, he’ll take the matter into his own hands.
Malcolm and Henry arrive at Castle Leoch, and Arch Bug’s angry to learn Malcolm wants him and the men to wait outside the castle walls.

Colum pointedly looks at Dougal as the trunk holding Ellen’s dowry, which Dougal tried to give away to the Jacobites, is opened. The marriage contract’s been reviewed but it doesn’t say anything about Ellen failing a test. Dougal confesses he’d be happy not to have loyalists as in-laws, but Colum believes the Grants are their most important allies.
Malcolm and Henry join the MacKenzie brothers and Colum hopes this will put any doubts to rest. Ned leads them into the great hall where Davie Beaton will oversee the examination. Henry interrupts and says the Grants are insisting their physician will handle the examination. Ned assures them the MacKenzies will agree to whatever they prefer. He even suggests Beaton show the Grants’ physician what he’s prepared for the examination.
Meanwhile, Julia and Brian sneak into Castle Leoch and Julia insists that Brian remain downstairs. She’ll pass as a servant, but Brian will definitely be noticed if he heads to Ellen’s bedchamber. Julia promises that if Ellen’s not in her room, she’ll find her.
Brian isn’t happy with the arrangement. He’ll remain behind, but if he hears any commotion, he’ll come up.
The Grants’ physician informs them he’ll be checking Ellen’s water, but Malcolm objects. He doesn’t want to embarrass Ellen. The doctor and Arch (who’s made his way inside) confirm Isaac Grant demanded it.
Malcolm pulls Henry aside, concerned Ellen’s going to blame him for all this. Henry promises to tell Ned that this isn’t what Malcolm wants. Henry steps out of the great hall to wait for Ned and sees Julia at the end of the hallway. She doesn’t see him, and he assumes he’s imagining it.
Henry confesses to Ned that he tried to escape from the Grants and was captured. When Isaac recovers from his illness, he may decide to kill him. He still needs to leave, but he’ll need Malcolm’s permission to escape from Arch Bug’s scrutiny. Henry believes he can appeal to Malcolm’s compassion. He asks Ned to help him escape during this visit because it might be his only chance. Ned thinks Henry’s being too hasty. If Ellen passes the test, then the MacKenzies will renegotiate the dowry, which means Henry will have to return to Castle Leoch or wherever Ned chooses. Maybe that would be a better time to try and escape. Henry agrees just as Arch Bug barges in, announcing their physician is ready for the exam.
Julia makes it to Ellen’s room and Ellen’s quickly on board with Julia’s plans to help. Not much time passes before Malcolm knocks at Ellen’s door. Henry arranged the quick meeting, and he apologizes for what she’s going through, assuring her it’s his father who wants the test done. Malcolm also reveals Simon Fraser is responsible for stoking the fire and making Isaac Grant demand this procedure.
Ellen claims she’s eager to put this behind them and Malcolm knows she’ll pass and make everyone look foolish about questioning her virtue.

The MacKenzies and Grants stand on opposite sides of the examination table as the doctor instructs her to remove her gown. The first step is to drink boiled sea holly. If she’s virtuous, she’ll be able to hold her water. Both the MacKenzies and Malcolm want to skip this step, but Ellen quickly grabs the cup and drinks.
Brian passes the time in the cellar by sharpening his blade. Julia remains in Ellen’s room.
The great hall falls silent as everyone waits the required time before Ellen is allowed to urinate. Finally, the Grants’ physician allows her to urinate. The urine is poured into a glass container and examined, and the physician announces they’ll now do an examination to see if Ellen’s intact.
After what seems like an eternity, the physician stands as Ellen quietly cries. The doctor whispers to the Grants’ reverend and the reverend declares that Ellen is intact. The room is silent after the announcement and finally, Ellen makes her way out of the great hall, glaring at Colum.
Mistress Fitz thanks Julia for protecting Ellen’s honor but reminds her she needs to leave quickly before she’s caught. Ellen asks about Brian without saying his name, asking, “Will you be crossing the bridge on your way back to Leathers?” She smiles when Julia confirms she will.
Ellen ushers her out of her bedchambers and says, “Now, please go in haste with my gratitude and love forevermore.” (It’s wonderful to think that Claire and Jamie’s mothers were there for each other!)
Julia’s heading to the secret exit when she hears Henry’s voice. She calls out his name and beckons him to follow her as she hurries back down the hallway. She stops and gasps, and Henry approaches, unwilling to believe his eyes. He doesn’t believe it’s real even after stroking her face. It’s not until she whispers, “Hope springs eternal,” that he allows himself to believe he’s reunited with his wife.
He asks about the baby, and she reveals she named him William after his grandfather. Brian finds them and says they have to leave as Arch calls for Henry. Julia confirms she’s at Castle Leathers and promises they will find their way back to each other. But for now, they have to part before the wrong person finds them.
Arch locates Henry and tells him Malcolm wants to leave. Malcolm thanks Henry for everything and hopes he’s in the Grants’ service for years to come. Just as they’re about to ride off, a letter arrives saying Isaac Grant has died.
Episode eight ends with Mistress Fitz stopping Brian and Julia as they’re about to leave through the secret door. She’s grateful but hands back Brian’s tartan and warns him to stay away from Ellen if he truly cares for her.

Each week on the Emmy Award-nominated Mission Unstoppable, celebrity host Miranda Cosgrove highlights the fascinating female innovators who are on the cutting edge of science – including zoologists, engineers, astronauts, codebreakers and oceanographers. Viewers will be inspired by female STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) superstars in the fields of social media, entertainment, animals, design and the internet – all categories key to the teen experience.
Academy Award-winning actress Geena Davis serves as executive producer, bringing her passion for creating strong female characters that positively influence young viewers. Cosgrove also serves as an executive producer.

Hosted by international explorer and longtime adventure host Zay Harding, this series takes viewers around the world as it presents the remarkable scientists, engineers, and everyday people who are creating environmental solutions. This season, the series will expand its coverage of innovations throughout America, traveling to a dozen U.S. states, as well as international destinations including Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and the U.K.
In California, one of Hollywood’s pioneers of sustainability, Ed Begley Jr., showcases his award-winning green home and his pet-friendly sustainability initiative. Viewers will also see the world’s first-ever floating eco park built right in the middle of the Chicago River. In Jamaica, the non-profit organization The Ocean Cleanup shows how it is ridding our waters of plastic one country at a time.

The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation, hosted by Mo Rocca (award-winning correspondent for CBS NEWS SUNDAY MORNING), features the celebration of the inventor’s spirit – from historic scientific pioneers throughout past centuries to the forward-looking visionaries of today. Each episode tells the dramatic stories behind the world’s greatest inventions, and the perseverance, passion, and price required to bring them to life. The program includes segments focusing on “what if it never happened” and “the innovation by accident,” and has a strong focus on “junior geniuses” who are changing the face of technology.
