Netflix officially announced two new actors who have taken on key roles in the upcoming third season of Stranger Things. Cary Elwes has signed on as a guest performer in the third season, joining the cast in the role of Mayor Kline. Jake Busey is also a guest performer in season three, slipping into the new character, Bruce.

Per Netflix, Mayor Kline is described as handsome, slick, and sleazy. “Mayor Kline is your classic 80s politician — more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs.”

Netflix revealed Bruce is “a journalist for the The Hawkins Post with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

Stranger Things was created by writers Matt and Ross Duffer. The cast of season two included Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, and Sadie Sink as Max.

Cary Elwes is best known for the romantic fantasy, The Princess Bride. His credits also include The Art of More, We Don’t Belong Here, Being Charlie, Elvis Nixon, Saw, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Elwes recently wrapped up work on The Billionaires Boys Club with Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Emma Roberts, and Billie Lourd.

Jake Busey, the son of actor Gary Busey and photographer Judy Lynn Helkenberg, has been acting in feature films since 1978. His credits include Contact, Enemy of the State, The Frighteners, and Starship Trooper. Next up is a starring role in The Predator directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys).

A Look Back at Seasons 1 and 2: A love letter to the ’80s classics that captivated a generation, Stranger Things is set in 1983 Indiana, where a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

Stranger Things 2: It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

‘The Flash’ Season 4 Episode 18 Recap and Review: Lose Yourself

The Flash Season 4 Episode 18 Recap

“You may not care about losing who you’ve become, but we do. We like Hero Ralph, please don’t take him away from us,” says Barry (Grant Gustin to Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) who’s hell-bent on stopping DeVoe, even if he has to kill him, in season four episode 18 of The CW’s The Flash.

As the episode begins, Ralph and Barry are searching for clues in the bus the metas were riding in when Barry came out of the Speed Force. They’re trying to find the last meta, Edwin Gauss (Arturo Del Puerto), and search as they argue over killing DeVoe. Ralph thinks they should be willing to stop him no matter what it takes, and Barry tries again to convince Ralph that part of being a hero is always finding another way to stop the bad guy. Ralph remembers Gauss when he sees where he was sitting because Gauss paid for his bus fare.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, Harry (Tom Cavanagh) shows Team Flash the new tool he created to stop DeVoe. It’s a device he calls the Sonic Scepter which Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) says is really a powerful tuning fork. Hit it on the ground and the sonic waves will blow DeVoe up against the wall. Two hits and he’s dead. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is concerned about Harry who’s acting manic and seems to never be without his thinking cap.

After the meeting breaks up, Iris (Candice Patton) asks Caitlin what she’s working on. Caitlin tells Iris she has found out what activates Killer Frost to come out by monitoring her brain. Dark matter is in Caitlin’s adrenaline glands so when she’s scared or angry, Frost comes out. Caitlin can now get Frost to come out by just giving herself a shot of epinephrine. Caitlin tells Iris she can’t wait to tell Frost what she’s discovered. Iris asks if they talk to each other and Caitlin admits they leave each other notes.

Harry tells the gang that Edwin’s power is that he has a pocket dimension, like DeVoe, and can travel similar to Vibe. Joe asks Harry about using the thinking cap and Harry assures him he’s fine and there’s no problem.

Team Flash, with Harry’s help, is able to locate the recent areas Edwin used his powers. They split up to try to find him. Barry, Ralph, and Caitlin check the woods and come upon a hippie commune. They ask the group if they’ve seen Edwin and show his photo. One man tells them yes and that they call him the folding man because he folds in and out of everywhere.

Barry and Ralph go off in one direction looking for Edwin while Caitlin heads out in the opposite direction. (This is just dumb. If this were a horror movie, Caitlin would be the next victim!) Barry and Ralph argue again about killing DeVoe and Ralph is adamant they need to be willing to do whatever it takes to stop him. Barry responds once again by saying there’s always another way.

Caitlin yells to the guys she has eyes on Edwin who runs really fast even though he’s not a speedster. Barry speeds over and knocks him down. They tell him they’re not the police and are here to protect him from someone very dangerous. Edwin’s relieved and asks if the Samuroid is with them. Just then a samurai sword is thrust through Caitlin’s shoulder from behind, followed by the robotic Samuroid tossing her. Barry uses his super-speed to take apart the Samuroid and races over to catch Caitlin before she crashes into the trees. “Caitlin!” yells Ralph, concerned for her. Barry tells Ralph to meet them back at S.T.A.R. Labs with Edwin. He then speeds off carrying a wounded Caitlin.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, Ralph suggests to Caitlin that she should rest but she says she’s fine and almost healed. Barry tells her that when she passed out she got cold and her Frost healing powers went to work. Ralph’s more determined than ever to kill DeVoe and after arguing with Barry again, visits Edwin who’s digging the pipeline and the snacks Ralph brought. During their chat, Ralph learns Edwin once used his powers and ended up in DeVoe’s lair. This gives Ralph an idea.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is gluing his model of the USS Enterprise Starship together when Harry comes in yelling for his thinking cap, believing Cisco took it. Cisco tells him he didn’t take it and Harry destroys his model and actually grabs Cisco and puts him up against a wall. Joe enters telling Harry that Cisco didn’t take his cap but that he did. He believes Harry’s addicted to it and that he can’t keep him from using it. He wants Harry to see what he’s doing to the people he cares most about. Joe gives Harry back the cap and leaves. An upset Cisco walks out leaving Harry feeling terrible about what just happened.

Ralph wants Edwin to power him to DeVoe’s lair and he’ll handle the rest. Barry shows up in his Flash suit thinking it was DeVoe and wants Ralph to stop. Ralph won’t back down and takes the Sonic Scepter and puts it inside himself. He then stretches his fist to punch Barry, but Barry uses his super-speed to duck the punch and punch out Ralph instead.

Ralph wakes up in the medical bay and Barry attempts a peace offering. Barry tells Ralph he understands that Ralph is afraid of DeVoe, but he has to rise above it. “You are a moron. I am not afraid of DeVoe and what he might do to me. I am afraid of what he might do to you and Iris and Caitlin, Cisco, Joe, Harry, Cecile… DeVoe has taken out everyone who has gotten in his way and Team Flash will always be in his way,” says Ralph. “This was never about protecting yourself,” says Barry beginning to understand Ralph’s real motivation.

“I know killing DeVoe would be throwing away everything I’ve done to become a hero but aside from my mom this team is the only family I have ever had. I would throw myself in a furnace to keep them safe. DeVoe cannot have them, they are mine,” says a determined Ralph. Barry assures Ralph that the team likes Hero Ralph and doesn’t want to lose him.

Barry explains to Team Flash that part of Ralph’s plan was a good one: the idea to use Edwin’s power to get to DeVoe and use the scepter to capture him. Everyone’s in. Harry, Iris, and Joe will stay at S.T.A.R. Labs to keep Edwin safe while Barry, Vibe, and Killer Frost will go capture DeVoe.

The Flash, Vibe, and Frost arrive at The Thinker’s lair only to discover that DeVoe isn’t there. Instead, they are facing a hologram. Turns out DeVoe knew they would try to get to his lair so he set this up and can now attack S.T.A.R. Labs. Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht) wields a samurai sword and goes up against Iris with her power gun. Joe takes on another Samuroid robot and Harry runs to power up his thinking cap to come up with new ideas on how to stop DeVoe from winning. Harry enters his private chamber and asks Gideon to increase the dark matter in his thinking cap. (He lied to Cisco who made him promise not to use dark matter.) Harry overloads the cap and it explodes. He passes out.

DeVoe goes after Edwin who’s in the pipeline, but Ralph is there blocking his path. DeVoe uses one of the other metas he absorbed to bring back the T-Rex skeleton to chase off Ralph. It works briefly until Ralph enlarges his hand and knocks out the T-Rex. When Ralph gets back to the pipeline, DeVoe is now in Edwin’s body.

During the fight between Iris and Marlize, Iris lets Marlize stab her with the sword so she can get to The Thinker’s chair and activate it to get Barry, Vibe, and Frost back. It works and Marlize and the chair disappear.

Ralph faces down DeVoe and uses the Sonic Scepter against him. It works and knocks DeVoe across the room. Ralph knows one more strike from the scepter will kill DeVoe. Instead, he puts the power-reducing cuffs on him. The Flash shows up and is proud of Ralph. Ralph tells Barry he thinks he’s ready for the kind of life Barry was talking to him about before. DeVoe uses that moment to disable the cuffs and knock Barry off his feet. As Barry lies on the ground stunned and helpless, DeVoe uses his powers to transport himself into Ralph’s body, killing him. Team Flash watch on the monitors as Ralph’s body drops to the floor along with Edwin’s.

Vibe opens a breach and goes through with Killer Frost. Barry’s finally able to get up but before he can use the scepter DeVoe blasts him with power, knocking him across the room. DeVoe blasts Vibe before he can do anything. Frost creates an icicle and starts to stab DeVoe, but he touches her and says, “Melt.” That causes her to change back to Caitlin before sending her up in the air and crashing down to the ground.

Later, Barry feels terrible and takes off wanting some alone time. Joe asks if he should go after him but Iris says she thinks she knows where he’s going.

Caitlin asks Cisco to get Harry because she thinks something’s wrong with her. Cisco and Harry examine Caitlin and Cisco realizes she touched DeVoe and he used one of the meta’s powers he absorbed to untangle her DNA from the dark matter. Caitlin no longer has any dark matter in her. Killer Frost is gone. Caitlin glances over at the post-it notes she and Frost have been using to communicate. She’s both surprised and a little sad.

Barry’s in Ralph’s old P.I. office boxing things up and cleaning out things he knows Ralph wouldn’t want people finding. Iris shows up and tries to talk to Barry, but he shuts her down. He says he appreciates what she’s trying to do but right now he alone needs to clean out Ralph’s office. Iris leaves. Barry continues to box things up until the office is empty. He downs a shot of Whiskey and then leaves the glass on Ralph’s old desk. As the sun is setting and he’s about to leave, Barry turns and says to the empty room, “I’ll keep them safe.”

The Flash Season 4 Episode 18 Review:

Dramatic, action-packed, and heartbreaking, episode 18 titled “Lose Yourself” sees the tragic and preventable death of Ralph, a hero who was just coming into his own. The episode also saw the loss of Caitlin’s chilly alter-ego, Killer Frost. This was a powerful and heavy episode with two stand-out performances as well as the exit of the best character to be introduced to the series this season.

Hartley Sawyer, who has added much-needed humor into the show and has wonderful chemistry with Grant Gustin, delivered his strongest performance in this episode. The scene where Ralph tells Barry just how much Team Flash means to him and that he’s willing to become a killer to protect them shows just how far he has grown as a person and a member of the team. It’s truly sad to see this character come to such an unfitting and undeserved end.

Danielle Panabaker steals every scene she’s in episode 18. Panabaker nails every scene from Caitlin’s conversation with Iris about the cute little notes she and Frost leave for each other showing their growing friendship to when she gets stabbed by the samurai robot to when she realizes she no longer has any dark matter in her. The scene where she looks at the post-it notes is truly touching.

With the death of Ralph, Killer Frost vanishing, and DeVoe seeming to have everything he needs to set about his great plan, it doesn’t look good for Team Flash. In fact, it just might be their darkest hour.

GRADE: B+

Grammy Award winner and current coach of NBC’s The Voice Kelly Clarkson has been tapped to host the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. This year’s Billboard Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20th beginning at 8pm ET/5pm PT and will mark the first time the awards show will air on NBC.

“Kelly Clarkson has long been a Billboard chart phenomenon and has a first-hand understanding of what matters most in music today,” stated Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment, announcing Clarkson as host. “Her enthusiasm for all genres of music and her innate sense of humor will make for a truly memorable night.”

“To prepare for hosting the Billboard Music Awards, I already have 20 costume changes planned,” said Clarkson. “I will be flying in like my girl P!nk, and calling Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman for jokes. Well, or I’m just gonna show up and celebrate my favorite artists and get to know a few more. Yeah, maybe I’ll go with that plan.”

More on Kelly Clarkson, Courtesy of NBC:

“Clarkson has sold more than 25 million albums and 36 million singles worldwide. She has placed 10 singles in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and is the recipient of three Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards and a CMA Award.

The acclaimed singer/songwriter released her highly anticipated new album Meaning of Life, the first for Atlantic Records, on Oct. 27, 2017. Meaning of Life, featuring the emotionally charged new single, “I Don’t Think About You,” is the album Clarkson was destined to make with Atlantic, a collection of smart and sensual soul-inspired pop that immediately belongs among the legendary label’s classic canon. For her eighth studio album – and follow-up to 2015’s chart-topping Piece By Piece – Clarkson united a stellar team of top songwriters and producers to collaborate, among them past collaborators Jason Halbert, Jesse Shatkin and Grammy Award-winning Producer of the Year Greg Kurstin, as well as first-time collaborators Mick Schultz, the Monarch and Nick Ruth, among others.

Clarkson’s Piece by Piece debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, marking her third #1 debut. Piece by Piece garnered two 2016 Grammy nominations (Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance for her hit single “Heartbeat Song”).

Clarkson’s 2011 release, Stronger, was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, and produced the smash singles “Mr. Know It All” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” which marked her ninth and 10th Top 10 hits. “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” was #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for two consecutive weeks (three weeks total), marking her third #1 on the Hot 100 chart. In 2013, she released her first holiday album, Wrapped in Red, which debuted at #3, was the biggest holiday album debut for a female artist since 2010, and is certified platinum.

Clarkson is also a New York Times best-selling author, having recently released her 2nd children’s picture book, River Rose and the Magical Christmas. This is the follow-up to River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, which debuted at #7 on The New York Times bestsellers list for children’s picture books.”

‘Hereditary’ New Trailer: Super Creepy Trailer Arrives for the 2018 Horror Film

After a successful festival run, A24 is set to release the horror film Hereditary in theaters on June 8, 2018. The studio’s just released a new trailer along with another poster from the film which marks the feature film writing and directorial debut of Ari Aster.

Hereditary currently sits at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with RogerEbert.com’s Brian Tallerico calling it a “deeply unsettling film, the kind of horror movie that pulls from relatable human emotions like grief and resentment to ultimately become an absolute nightmare.” Variety’s Owen Gleiberman has high praise for the film’s star Toni Collette: “Collette’s performance is staggering. She plays Annie as a woman who begins to wear her buried rage and guilt on the outside.”

In addition to Oscar nominee Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense), the cast includes Alex Wolff (The House of Tomorrow), Milly Shapiro, Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale, Good Behavior), and Gabriel Byrne (Vikings, In Treatment). Hereditary was executive produced by Jonathan Gardner, William Kay, and Ryan Kreston. Kevin Scott Frakes, Lars Knudsen, and Buddy Patrick served as producers.

The Plot: When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.

Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.

‘Lucifer’ Season 3 Episode 20 Recap: Angel of San Bernardino

Lucifer Season 3 Episode 20 Recap
Tom Ellis in ‘Lucifer’ season 3 episode 20 (Photo Credit: Fox)

Fox’s Lucifer finally returns after a much too long three-week break with season three episode 20. The episode titled “Angel of San Bernardino” features one of Tom Ellis’ best ever performances and moves multiple storylines along, some in surprisingly shocking ways.

Season three episode 20 begins with a woman waking in the middle of the night to the sound of arguing in her house. A gunshot rings out and as she’s about to be shot, she sees an angel whisk away the killer.

Over at the station, Pierce (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Lauren German) escape to the evidence closet for a make-out session. Shortly thereafter, Pierce joins Lucifer and Chloe at a crime scene. Lucifer’s pissed because Pierce kills their banter, but Pierce says he’s only there because the victim is well-connected. Chloe, meanwhile, acts all jumpy and guilty.

Ella (Aimee Garcia) is already at the crime scene and introduces them to the murder victim, Kevin. He’s from a very wealthy family, but apparently he was renting a room at this house and was shot in the chest by an intruder. The home’s owner explains what she heard, including the fact the killer knew Kevin’s name.

She then describes the angel she believes flew in and saved her. She also claims the angel took her Saint Gabriel figurine when he flew away.

Chloe thinks she’s joking when she asks if it’s one of Lucifer’s brothers, but Pierce lags behind Chloe as she walks away to ask if it could be one of Lucifer’s siblings. Lucifer can’t believe Pierce thinks his dad would send someone down to Earth just to stop a murder.

Amenadiel (DB Woodside) show’s up at Lucifer’s, anxious that Charlotte might tell someone what they told her. He’s worried about what she’ll do now that she knows. Lucifer, however, doesn’t care because no one would believe her anyway. Lucifer then asks if Amenadiel knows if there’s an angel around who’s randomly saving people. Amenadiel claims that angel would have to be bored or confused.

After Amenadiel leaves, Lucifer finds the Saint Gabriel figurine on his bedroom floor.

Lucifer takes the figurine to Dr. Linda (Rachael Harris), confused where it came from. He thinks it might be a sex toy but Linda wonders if he’s “sleep flying” since he’s having trouble sleeping now. She thinks he’s conflicted over Chloe’s relationship with Pierce, but he assures her he’s not a 16-year-old crying in his bedroom listening to Adele.

Chloe and Pierce enjoy an afternoon together at her place, but then she sends him away before Trixie comes home. She’s not ready to introduce her daughter to any man yet.

Lucifer calls her in and he’s incredibly worried about solving this case. He needs to prove he wasn’t the angel and Chloe assures him he’s not. Chloe informs her partner that their murder victim, Kevin, fought with a guy named Phil and off they go to speak with him at a ritzy rehab facility.

Phil’s not upset about Kevin’s death and calls him a douchebag. Phil’s a TV producer and is sure he doesn’t have to explain his whereabouts, having nine legal shows under his belt. Lucifer goes berserk and demands to know if the angel who appeared at Kevin’s murder looked like him. Phil, understandably confused, explains he and Kevin always argued about rehab and getting clean. Phil punched him and that was all. Phil then provides his alibi; he was with hookers. Turns out Phil’s a sex addict.

As they’re getting ready to leave, Chloe expresses concern over Lucifer’s state of mind. Lucifer is adamant that he needs to solve this murder, but Chloe sends him home to rest.

Lucifer borrows Chloe’s handcuffs and chains himself to the floor before falling asleep on his bed. Amenadiel wakes Lucifer up the next morning and Lucifer’s not happy to see his brother. “On the list of things I like to wake up to, your face falls someplace after a horse’s head and Coldplay tickets.”

Amenadiel shows him a newspaper with an article on the Angel of San Bernardino. Lucifer and Amenadiel believe Lucifer’s the do-gooder angel because his handcuffs are broken and his bed’s messy.

Lucifer reads the article but still can’t wrap his head around the fact it’s likely describing him. Amenadiel believes he caused this by making Lucifer reveal his wings to Charlotte. God must be punishing them by making Lucifer do good deeds. Lucifer knows only the killer can verify the angel’s identity, so he heads off to work.

Ella tells Pierce she thinks his relationship with Chloe is cute. However, she knows Ella hasn’t said I love you yet and thinks he should be patient.

Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) spends the morning telling people what she really thinks, which results in her insulting anyone who crosses her path. Done with the insults, she drags Dan (Kevin Alejandro) away from the station for an impromptu lunch date.

Chloe and Lucifer visit Kevin’s exe and her new husband, Jeremy, and she reveals they used to do drugs together. She says Kevin liked drugs more than her and she hasn’t talked to him in years. He called her occasionally but she didn’t talk to him because he always wanted money for drugs.

Charlotte and Dan have a few drinks over lunch and she’s super happy she’s now able to just speak her mind. Charlotte believes she can do what she wants because she’s got a direct line to God and what she wants to do now is get naked in the restaurant’s supply closet with Dan. Dan’s up for it and strips down in the closet. Unfortunately, the male manager’s the one who discovers Dan posing naked in the closet…

Chloe does research while Lucifer paces, telling her once again about his concern that he might be the Angel of San Bernardino. Chloe suggests he go home and get some sleep but when he says that’s when he becomes the Angel, she tells him to stay awake then. He decides that’s a great idea and does whatever it takes to stay awake including tons of drugs, getting his freak on with women, constructing weird table things, riding tricycles, and participating in a fight club. But when he flips on the television and discovers Bones, he’s instantly fascinated. (Thanks for the entertaining montage with a mostly shirtless Tom Ellis, Lucifer writers!)

Chloe and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) have a chat over the phone, and Maze apologizes for upsetting Trixie.

Lucifer shows up at the station looking horrible and doesn’t have any idea he’s been gone for a week. He explains he’s just watched all 12 riveting seasons of Bones and calls Chloe “Booth.” He’s decided Bones is a documentary of their partnership. He rattles off a bunch of facts about the human skeleton and only settles down when Chloe shows him a surveillance video of Kevin getting arrested a few months ago. Kevin was with a guy named Matt Kessman who might be Kevin’s dealer.

Chloe and Lucifer head over to see Matt and Lucifer’s barely keeping it together. He grabs a cup of coffee with lots of sugar and then watches from a balcony as Matt delivers a toast at a wedding. Matt introduces himself to the wedding guests as a doctor and Chloe thinks he’s lying. She and Lucifer follow him into the parking garage and watch as he meets with the groom.

Matt’s holding a wad of cash and Lucifer launches into a lengthy rant. He’s confusing what’s going on now with an episode of Bones. He then realizes Matt is an actor who actually was on that episode of Bones. The groom admits he hired Matt to be his best man because he doesn’t have any friends.

Chloe wants to know why Matt was fighting with Kevin in the alley. Matt explains he was hired to be Kevin’s friend and to get him to do drugs, but Kevin wouldn’t. Matt doesn’t know who hired him, but he got the job through Masquerade, Inc.

Maze visits Pierce at his place and confirms she talked to Chloe. Maze is happy to be part of Pierce’s plan to get Decker to fall for him. She wants Decker to suffer when Pierce vanishes without any warning. Pierce doesn’t care who gets hurt as long as he’s finally able to die. The key is for Pierce to work his way into Decker’s heart and that should make him vulnerable in her presence, just like Lucifer.

Chloe and Lucifer look up Masquerade, Inc and figure out whoever hired Matt is probably the killer. Lucifer wants to head out now but Chloe wants him to go home and sleep. He pounds the table and yells he can’t sleep in front of everyone, and Chloe has him take a seat in the interrogation room.

Lucifer’s out of control and falling apart, telling Chloe his wings are back and his father’s manipulating him. He thinks it’s either that or Linda’s right and he’s suppressing feelings about Chloe and Pierce. Chloe ignores the angel stuff and asks why he doesn’t like her relationship with Pierce. Lucifer continues on, telling the truth and revealing Pierce is really Cain and has been around for eons. Pierce only cares about ridding himself of the curse his father placed on him. Chloe, of course, doesn’t really listen, but she does confess she’s happy when she’s around Pierce. He treats her right and she thinks he’s a good man. She almost says she loves him.

Amenadiel visits Charlotte who’s just purchased an expensive diamond necklace. She’s carefree after deciding to spend money and not worry about things. She believes Amenadiel and Lucifer can take her to Heaven when the time comes so nothing matters. Amenadiel explains they can’t get anyone into Heaven and Charlotte gets upset, realizing she relapsed into her old ways. She’s certain she’ll go to Hell.

Trixie looks up the Masquerade, Inc site on her mom’s work computer. Pierce walks by and waves, and Chloe finally opens up to Trixie about her relationship with Pierce. She confesses she likes him a lot and wants Trixie to like him too. Trixie asks if that’s the reason she’s been so happy lately, and Chloe admits it is.

Meanwhile, Jeremy wanders around his house and spots an open window. He spots Lucifer seated in the corner of his living room. Lucifer flips on the light and asks, “Trouble sleeping?”

Lucifer admits he knows Jeremy used to be an actor. Lucifer also puts two and two together and figures out Jeremy’s wife hired him to play husband and father, and Lucifer thinks Jeremy was also hired to kill Kevin. However, it turns out Jeremy’s “wife” actually fell in love with him and so he needed to get rid of Kevin.

Lucifer demands to know if Jeremy saw the angel at the murder scene, but Jeremy’s sure no one was there. The homeowner saw the reflection of the figurine’s wings on the wall and thought there was a real angel saving her from being murdered. Jeremy stole the figurine and then destroyed it because it had his fingerprints on it.

Lucifer’s confused about how it got to his house and pissed Jeremy destroyed Kevin’s family and used his weaknesses against him. As he’s talking, Lucifer realizes Pierce is the one who set the whole angel thing up.

Chloe arrives at Jeremy’s right after Lucifer takes off, and he immediately confesses he killed Kevin and he’s a pathetic imposter.

Lucifer frantically looks through his place for the figurine so he can convince Chloe that Pierce isn’t a good guy. He explains all this to Maze when she arrives, yelling about how Chloe wouldn’t believe him. Lucifer finally finds the figurine and Maze convinces him to sit down and tell her the whole story. She hands him a drink and he thanks her, saying it’s very kind of her. That act of kindness is so unlike Maze that Lucifer realizes she’s helping Pierce.

Maze confirms this angel thing is all her idea. She planted the figurine after Pierce told her about the woman who claimed to see an angel. Maze taunts Lucifer with the details of what she’s managed to pull off. She tapped into his daddy issues and when she keeps talking, he realizes she’s stalling him.

Lucifer races off to Chloe’s and Maze laughs as he leaves. (Maze season two was so much more fun than Maze season three.)

Pierce arrives at Chloe’s place with a piece of chocolate cake. Trixie’s out for the night so Chloe teases they can share it together tomorrow morning, hinting that Pierce can spend the night. Chloe’s done worrying about how this affects everybody else. She confesses she really likes spending time with him and as she’s about to say, “I love you,” Pierce stops her. She thinks he’s pressing pause because it’s scary to be in this relationship. Instead, he tells her she’s making it too hard and it’s not worth it. Of course, Chloe doesn’t understand the true meaning behind his words. He leaves her place and screams in frustration once he’s outside her door.

Lucifer arrives at Chloe’s and Trixie lets him in the door. He sees Chloe’s expression and leaves without saying a word, heading over to Pierce’s place. (Tom Ellis is absolutely terrific in this episode).

Lucifer punches Pierce in the face, screaming at him for hurting Chloe. Pierce admits he just needed Chloe to say she loves him, but then realized he couldn’t do that to her. Lucifer warns Pierce that since he hurt Chloe, he should prepare for a beating. As they talk, Lucifer notices Pierce’s mark is gone.
