James Franco and Seth Rogen in Discovery Channel’s ‘Naked and Afraid’
We’ll be seeing a lot of buddies James Franco and Seth Rogen in December…and I mean that literally. Rogen and Franco are teaming up on screen again for the comedy movie The Interview and one of the ways they’ll be promoting the film is by doing a special episode of Naked and Afraid. Both Rogen and Franco will strip down to their birthday suits and try to survive in the wild for an episode of Discovery Channel’s popular show.
Rogen and Franco shared a naked photo on Instagram last month, but no one was really sure if they were telling the truth when they said they would be on Naked and Afraid or if it was just a promotional stunt. The first clip from their episode appeared on Good Morning America this morning, so it appears those into the funny men will in fact be able to watch them stumble around the wilderness completely bare.
The poster’s arrived for the upcoming fifth season of the dysfunctional family comedy/drama Shameless starring Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy. Season five will kick off on January 11, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on Showtime followed by House of Lies at 10pm and Episodes at 10:30pm.
The Shameless Season 5 Plot:
Recently garnering three Emmy Award nominations in the comedy category, Shameless season five finds the Gallaghers dealing with both the upside and downside of personal and urban renewal. As their neighborhood begins a move towards gentrifying, the Gallagher clan begins to reconcile their chaotic past in the hopes of building a better future.
Dermot Mulroney, Steve Kazee and Sasha Alexander will guest star. The series stars Macy and Rossum, along with Ethan Cutkosky, Emily Bergl, and special guest star Joan Cusack.

Reign‘s season two continues with episode seven titled “Prince of the Blood.” A new Royal shows up to spin things on their heads and Francis continues to be manipulated by Narcisse. Directed by Deborah Chow, “The Prince of Blood” was written by Drew Lindo and Wendy Riss Gatsiounis and airs on November 13, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT.
“The Prince of the Blood” Plot:
THE ROYAL WILD CHILD RETURNS — Young, reckless and provocative Princess Claude (guest star Rose Williams) makes a surprise visit home, torturing her already haunted mother, Catherine (Megan Follows). Francis (Toby Regbo) is pressured by Narcisse (Craig Parker) to act against his conscience or risk his throne and his wife. Mary (Adelaide Kane) finds a new ally in Condé (Sean Teale).
Francis confides in Bash (Torrance Coombs) and hatches a plot that involves an uncertain Lola (Anna Popplewell). Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) mistakes Claude for a newfound friend, while Greer (Celina Sinden) returns earlier than expected from her wedding tour. Jonathan Keltz also stars.

Lionsgate Films has released another TV spot promoting the November 21st release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. The new spot shows Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) telling Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) “they” are coming, and (Woody Harrelson) reminding Katniss that Peeta is the Capitol’s weapon.
The Plot:
The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
Anne Hathaway, currently on screen opposite Matthew McConaughey in Interstellar, stars in the romantic drama Song One from writer/director Kate Barker-Froyland. Song One involves the folk music scene and features original songs by Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice. In addition to Hathaway, the cast includes Johnny Flynn, Mary Steenburgen, and Ben Rosenfield.
Film Arcade and Cinedigm will release Song One in theaters on January 23, 2015.
The Plot:
Hathaway stars as Franny in Song One, a romantic drama set against the backdrop of Brooklyn’s vibrant modern-folk music scene. After Franny’s musician brother Henry (Rosenfield) is injured and hospitalized in a coma following a car accident, Franny returns home after a long estrangement and begins to use his notebook as a guide to how his life has evolved in her absence.
Franny seeks out the musicians and artists Henry loved, in the course of her journey meeting James Forester (Flynn), his musical idol, whose success and fame belie a shy and private man. As a strong romantic connection develops between Franny and James, the question becomes if love can bloom even under the most adverse circumstances.

Channing Tatum’s getting rave reviews for his performance in Foxcatcher and he had to use all of his acting skills while taking on Jimmy Fallon in one of Fallon’s favorite The Tonight Show games: Box of Lies. Fallon’s an expert at this game that finds the contestants facing off to see who is better at guessing whether there opponent is telling the truth or making up a lie.
Marvel’s released a new extended trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron after releasing an ‘extended’ trailer a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for Avengers fans, there’s not much new to be seen in this version of an extended trailer. But if you’re really good at picking out new footage, you’ll notice new clips from the party scene that was in the previously released trailer. There are also new shots of Iron Man as well as scenes of Samsung product placements.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
The Plot:

Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

The season one cast also includes Cliff Chamberlain as Kurt Tannen, Chris L. McKenna as Nick Vera, Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Payton, David Harbour as David Patrick, Adam Kaufman as Lucas Newsome, Sheila Vand as Maureen James, and Tommy Savas as Dashiell Greer.
The Plot: Each day the president is faced with dozens of life-and-death decisions, and to prioritize the biggest international crises facing the country, one top CIA analyst — Charleston Tucker (Heigl) — assembles the President’s Daily Briefing (PDB). This list of the most vital security issues facing the nation brings with it moral and political judgment calls for Charleston and her trusted group of brilliant analysts at the agency. Charlie survived that attack and is now determined to bring the perpetrators to justice. Navigating a complex personal life and a pressure-cooker profession is, of course, a challenge, and Charlie sometimes engages in boundary-pushing behavior to avoid facing her grief. But when the clock strikes 2 a.m., she is all about her job — protecting her nation, serving her president and still trying to get to the bottom of her fiancé’s murder that will reveal itself as a shocking mystery.
Dallas Roberts (Dallas Buyers Club) and Clifton Collins Jr. (Pacific Rim) are confirmed for starring roles in the USA Network pilot Evil Men. The drama series’ pilot was written by Daniel Taplitz, who’s also executive producing along with Gary Fleder (Life Unexpected), Eric Tannenbaum, and Kim Tannenbaum. Fleder’s directing the pilot.
“This supernatural drama is a symbolic tale of good versus evil set in the everyday modern world,” said Jackie de Crinis, Executive Vice President Original Programming, USA Network, “It is a highly relatable story that begs the question of just how far we would go to protect our families.”
The Evil Men Plot:
Evil Men follows an upstanding, middle-class family man whose life is turned upside down when he is approached by a frighteningly powerful entity and commanded to kill “evil men” or see his family – along with his city – utterly destroyed. However, the gleeful psycho who is meant to be his first target, instead begins teaching him how to carry out his new destiny.
Roberts takes on the role of Harry Killas, the good husband and loving father who is tasked with an unthinkable mandate by the mysterious and vengeful supernatural force. Collins will play Lazlo Kirk, the profoundly evil former war criminal with magnetic charm and a deep, unpredictable violent streak, who forces himself into Harry’s life on a twisted mission of personal redemption.

Following the airing of the 10th episode of season seven of Sons of Anarchy (easily this final season’s best episode thus far), the cast and creator Kurt Sutter made their first appearance as a group on a late-night talk show by sitting down to talk about the popular FX series on Conan.
Charlie Hunnam talked about returning to the set after filming had wrapped on the final episode of season seven, Theo Rossi & Tommy Flanagan revealed their most bizarre requests from fans, Kim Coates suggested a Sons of Anarchy holiday special, and Drea de Matteo confessed she skipped out on being a guest on Conan O’Brien’s show years ago by faking that her dog was dying. Sutter also revealed his fantasy ending for the show, which involved a Vespa and a coffee shop…
