National Geographic Channel’s groundbreaking special Live From Space airs March 14, 2014 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, and audiences can be actively involved in the first-of-its-kind experience by joining in online on the Live From Space website. The live – yes, live! – television event will be taking place 250 miles above our planet and broadcast around the globe. Soledad O’Brien will be hosting the special which is airing live from the International Space Station (ISS) and NASA Mission Control in Houston.
Viewers can feel like they’re part of the show via a second screen experience on the interactive website (livefromspace.com) and some lucky viewers will have their video questions (previously submitted on Instagram) answered by astronauts during the live broadcast.
Details on Live From Space [Courtesy of National Geographic Channel]:
With unique access to and footage from the ISS and Mission Control, we’ll go into orbit with astronauts Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata from the ISS, while astronaut Mike Massimino (most notably known for fixing the Hubble Telescope) will keep us grounded with O’Brien live from Houston. Live From Space will air on NGC in 170 countries, and on Channel 4 in the U.K. It will simulcast on NGC’s Spanish-language network in the U.S., Nat Geo MUNDO.
The ISS orbits Earth every 90 minutes, meaning NGC will quite literally take viewers on a trip around the world. We’ll see incredible shots of the planet, from sunset and sunrise, to city lights and green aurora, to lightning storms and shooting stars.
For those fascinated by the recent emergency spacewalks to replace a vital cooling system, Live From Space will show even more intimately what it takes to run this floating world. From space, Mastracchio and Wakata will give viewers a fully guided tour, showing us how they live for months in microgravity. In their own words, learn how they sleep upside down, stay fit, maintain personal hygiene and, of course (that question everyone is always curious about), how they use the toilet. They’ll conduct never-before-broadcast experiments that demonstrate the real-world value of the science conducted on the floating laboratory. We’ll also show how science in space is benefiting people on Earth such as the ISS’s robotic systems, which are the inspiration for a neurosurgical robot that removes brain tumors. Astronauts, flight controllers and researchers will be featured in original segments from the ISS and Mission Control during the course of the two-hour live event.

ABC Family chose not to renew Ravenswood, however, that doesn’t mean that series star Tyler Blackburn is out of a job. Blackburn will be returning to the cast of Pretty Little Liars and will be a series regular in the upcoming fifth season of the show.
According to the network, Blackburn will be back early in the new season, reprising his role as Caleb Rivers. Season five is set to kick off on June 10, 2014. The current season will finish up on March 18th at 8pm ET/PT.
Pretty Little Liars stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish, and Sasha Pieterse. The show is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein, and Joseph Dougherty.

Season one of Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley joins HBO’s lineup on April 6, 2014 at 6pm ET/PT. That’s a prime spot for the new series as it’s immediately following the premiere of the new season of Game of Thrones.
Judge’s half-hour comedy series will lighten the mood as it spotlights the high-tech world with a cast that includes Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Christopher Evan Welch, and Amanda Crew.
The series is partially inspired by Judge’s time spent working as an engineer in Silicon Valley back in the 1980s.
The Plot:
Richard (Middleditch) is an introverted computer programmer living in the Hacker Hostel start-up incubator along with his best friend, Big Head (Brener), pompous Gilfoyle (Starr) and dry-witted Dinesh (Nanjiani). These social misfits live under the watch of Erlich (Miller), a self-satisfied dotcom millionaire who lets them stay in his house for free – as long as he gets a ten percent stake in their projects.
After a failed pitch to billionaire venture capitalist Peter Gregory (Welch), Richard seems destined to remain at his job at the tech company Hooli, founded by the megalomaniacal Gavin Belson (Ross). When Monica (Crew), Gregory’s head of operations, and Jared (Woods), a Hooli executive, realize the value of the site’s compression algorithm, a bidding war erupts between Belson and Gregory, with Richard caught in the middle.

Two new housewives join the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County when season nine premieres on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. Returning housewives Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, and Heather Dubrow will be dealing with new cast members Shannon Beador and Lizzie Rovsek who promise to bring “fresh attitudes” to the Bravo series.
Vicki Gunvalson
The “OG of the OC,” Vicki Gunvalson has appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County since season one. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Vicki currently lives in the gated community of Coto de Caza. Recently, her daughter, Briana, son-in-law Ryan, and grandson, Troy moved out of her house and into a nearby condo. Briana is happily pregnant again and after a recent tour in Afghanistan, Ryan has been told by the Marines that he will likely be stationed at a base in Oklahoma. Vicki is forced to deal with the very real possibility that Briana and her family will have to move far away.
Meanwhile, Vicki and Brooks have both gone to counselors and are working on their relationship. Although Vicki has forgiven Brooks for his actions over the past year, their relationship continues to be a source of conflict between her and Brianna.
Tamra Judge
Tamra Judge, formerly Tamra Barney, is a Southern California native from Glendora, CA, who joined the cast in season three. She has four children, 27-year-old Ryan, and three children with her ex-husband. Since getting married to the love of her life, Eddie Judge, last summer, the two spend most of their time together running their boutique workout facility, CUT Fitness, which opened last summer. The two are so busy with its day-to-day operations that they haven’t had time for a honeymoon.
Talking about the possibility of having another baby, either through adoption or surrogacy, Tamra wonders how they will be able to handle the demands of their new business with a new addition to the family.
Heather Dubrow
Heather Dubrow is a working actress and stay-at-home mother of four who joined the cast in season seven. Married to prominent Newport Beach plastic surgeon, Terry Dubrow, they have four children, 10-year-old twins Nicholas and Maximillia, 7-year-old Katarina, and 3-year-old, Collette. Heather and Terry recently sold their home and are living in a rental house for two years while their new bigger and better dream house is built.
Heather’s acting career is moving forward and a recent guest appearance on Hawaii Five-O has kept her busy as she designs their new home. She and Terry continue to work hard on juggling their career ambitions while maintaining a happy, healthy and balanced family life.
Shannon Beador
Born and raised in Southern California, Shannon Beador joins the cast this season bringing her unflinching honesty and unconventional ways. She adheres to a holistic lifestyle, keeping her house a toxic free zone with a hospital grade air filtration system and no wi-fi. Her three daughters, 12-year-old Sophie and 9-year-old twins, Stella and Adeline have never eaten cheddar cheese because of the orange dyes. Shannon spends her free time with her energy specialist and a Feng Shui advisor trying to rid herself of any built up anger and resentment. Her 13-year marriage has recently hit a rough patch as she and her husband David struggle to find balance between work, the kids and each other.
Lizzie Rovsek
Living blocks away from Tamra in Ladera Ranch, Lizzie Rovsek brings her captivating combination of charm, sex appeal and intelligence to Orange County. A former Miss Kentucky, Lizzie is a beauty pageant judge and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. Now she is busy raising two boys under the age of four while juggling her husband, Christian, and her career as the owner and designer of Sun Kitten Swimwear. Lizzie is from a large family and is contemplating having a third child, hopefully a girl, but is torn between her career aspirations and growing her family.
Danielle Gregorio – Friend of the Housewives
The newest friend of the housewives, Danielle Gregorio, moved to Orange County 10 years ago and lives in Villa Park. She has two kids, ages 7 and 5, with her husband Joe, who she has known since childhood, and a 15-year-old son from a previous relationship. She is a co-founding member of the charity Heels2Heal-OC, helping underprivileged, critically-ill, abused women and children. Danielle holds her opinions close to her vest, but when she speaks out, she’s brash and brutally honest.
Pharrell Williams has every reason to be happy, besides having his Oscar-winning single “Happy” continuing with its reign on the top of the iTunes charts and in the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the third straight week. Williams’ just-released album G I R L shot to the #1 spot in the U.K., France, Switzerland, and Belgium as well as the #2 spot on the Billboard 200.
Williams’ new album also immediately hit the top three in sales in Canada, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Denmark, Ireland, and Sweden. It also scored the top position on iTunes in the US. G I R L features duets with Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake and “guest appearances” by Miley Cyrus, Daft Punk, and JoJo.
And as if the popularity of “Happy” and G I R L aren’t enough good news for one artist, Williams is also part of the soundtrack to The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Williams co-wrote and produced “It’s On Again,” the lead song by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar. He’s also featured on the film’s score by Hans Zimmer and The Magnificent Six.
