King the Kid’s cover of Miley Cyrus’ chart-topping hit “Wrecking Ball” is better than the original – or at least the video as entertaining as watching a naked Cyrus swing around on a giant ball. Their cover of Cyrus’ single has generated nearly 1 million views on Youtube for the Oregon-based three-man group who just released their first album (Start Something).
The new Fox series debuted on September 16, 2013 to 10.1 million viewers, an audience large enough to make Sleepy Hollow the most-watched new Fox drama in seven years. The series was co-created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Phillip Iscove, and Len Wiseman, with Wiseman directing the pilot episode.
Details on Sleepy Hollow:
A modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic, Sleepy Hollow follows Ichabod Crane who is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. To save the enigmatic town of Sleepy Hollow – and the world – from unprecedented evil, Ichabod pairs up with Det. Abbie Mills, a young cop whose own supernatural experiences help the two form an unlikely bond.

Directed by Mikael Håfström (The Rite, 1408), Escape Plan will open in theaters on October 18, 2013.
The Plot:
One of the world’s foremost authorities on structural security agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called “The Tomb.” Deceived and wrongly imprisoned, Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built.
A modern reimagining of the classic romantic comedy, this contemporary version closely follows new love for two couples as they journey from the bar to the bedroom and are eventually put to the test in the real world.
About Last Night will hit theaters on February 14, 2014.
It just gets freakier and freakier, doesn’t it? The more teasers I see of FX’s American Horror Story: Coven, the more I’m convinced this will be the most bizarre season yet. In support of the upcoming premiere on October 9, 2013 at 10pm, FX has unveiled a new poster, a new ‘Burn’ teaser video, and an extended cut of ‘Initiation.’
The Plot:
Coven tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own.
Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way.
Dexter‘s final season started out strong, faltered in the middle, and the next-to-final episode was a real disappointment. So the big question is: will the series finale wrap-up the critically show with a bang or with a whimper? Debuting on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 9pm, episode 12 of season eight is titled “Remember the Monsters?” and we’re hoping the writers have remembered what made audiences tune in for the past seven seasons.
The Plot:
Dexter (Michael C Hall) is faced with impossible odds as a brewing hurricane makes its way towards Miami.

Showtime’s also put together this retrospective featuring Dexter’s kills:
Produced by J.J. Abrams and starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy, Fox’s new drama series Almost Human has built up a lot of buzz. And even though we won’t get to see if it lives up to expectations until November 4, 2013, Fox is not going to let audiences forget it’s waiting in the wings.
They’ve just released this gorgeous poster for the series, which stars Urban as a detective and Ealy as an android.
Ryan Seacrest and Andrew Kravis from 'The Million Second Quiz' (Photo by: Virginia Sherwood/NBC)NBC’s new game show may not have been the ratings bonanza the network hoped it would be, but for Andrew Kravis that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that he walked away from The Million Second Quiz $2.6 million richer.
Kravis, who spent 250 hours on the show’s ‘Winner’s Row’, was crowned the champion of season one after defeating Brandon Saunders in the final trivia round. He collected $2 million for the win which added on top of his previous winnings of $326,346 as well as a winner’s bonus brought him to the $2.6 million total. That now makes the Million Second Quiz winner the recipient of the largest payout by a game show in television history.
The 25 year old Farmington Hills, Michigan resident recently graduated from Columbia Law School. “This is all really incredible,” said Kravis. “I want to pay off my student loans and then maybe take a trip to Europe.”
NBC hasn’t officially announced whether the game show hosted by Ryan Seacrest will return for season two.

The Plot:
Labor Day centers on 13-year-old Henry Wheeler, who struggles to be the man of his house and care for his reclusive mother Adele while confronting all the pangs of adolescence. On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, a man both intimidating and clearly in need of help, who convinces them to take him into their home and later is revealed to be an escaped convict. The events of this long Labor Day weekend will shape them for the rest of their lives.
Why do people do whatever Simon says to do? Peter Dinklage (‘Tyrion Lannister’ on Game of Thrones) sings about it in “Whatever Simon Says” accompanied by a band of Muppets. And then Lena Headey (‘Cersei Lannister’) joins Sesame Street‘s Murray to learn all about the word relax.
Both Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey appear on the September 20, 2013 episode of PBS’ Sesame Street.
