The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Official Trailer Has Arrived

Lionsgate unveiled the official trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire during their 2013 San Diego Comic Con panel and the fans who’d waited in line for hours for a chance at getting a seat in Hall H were impressed. The first look at the film actually reveals more of the plot than you’d expect, with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) pulled back into the Hunger Games as part of a special 75th annual celebration. The trailer shows the citizens who reside outside the Capitol are no longer willing to be oppressed, Katniss being threatened by President Snow (Donald Sutherland), and even a stolen kiss moment between Katniss and Gale (Liam Hemsworth). Also appearing briefly in the trailer are Philip Seymour Hoffman, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci (sporting a wicked ponytail), Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Willow Shields.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will arrive in theaters on November 22, 2013.

The Plot:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Inside ‘The Following’ with Kevin Bacon

The Following viewers may still be confused as to whether or not James Purefoy is returning for season two of Fox’s dramatic series, but there’s no question whatsoever that Kevin Bacon will be back as Ryan Hardy. And while Bacon couldn’t reveal too much about season two, he did tell me in our interview at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con that they will be changing the tone to a certain extent.

“I do think it’s still going to have a lot of thrills and a lot of surprises, and things will be shocking and things you don’t see coming – those things that people that like the show like,” explained Bacon. He also revealed that season two will find characters at different points in their lives and that Ryan will be in a better, healthier place.

However, Bacon says viewers should not expect to find a completely happy Ryan Hardy. He still has serious issues to deal with personally and professionally, and Joe Carroll’s followers are still out on the loose.

Tom Hiddleston Shows Up as Loki at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con

I firmly believe you can never have too much of Tom Hiddleston. Charismatic and easy on the eyes, Hiddleston is also a talented actor who can’t seem to hide how much he enjoys his work. Even when appearing onstage at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con in his full Loki costume from Thor: The Dark World and taunting the crowd while taking control of the stage, Hiddleston couldn’t keep a smile from stealing across his face.

In addition to the appearance of Hiddleston as Loki, Marvel’s full panel at the Con included the announcement of a new title for Avengers 2 which we can now and forever refer to as Avengers: Age of Ultron, the presence of the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier along with footage from that film, and a surprise appearance by the majority of the main cast of Guardians of the Galaxy as well as that film’s director, James Gunn (Slither).

Charlie Hunnam Interview – ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 6

It’ll be a near-impossible feat to top season five of FX’s critically acclaimed, immensely addictive dramatic series Sons of Anarchy, but according to Charlie Hunnam season six is going to be even more incredible. “It’s pretty epic. You generally I believe this is going to be the penultimate season so we’re well into the third act when things get crazy, generally, in storytelling, so I think it’s going to be a big season,” explained Hunnam. “We’re going to have some people die, you know, and have some sh*t happen.”

And in our interview at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, Hunnam also discussed how long it’s going to take to get Jax out of his system once the series ends and which Jax would ultimately choose: love or the club.

Season six premieres on September 10, 2013.

Fox Delays Glee‘s Premiere Date

Fox officially announced they’ve pushed the season five premiere date of Glee back to Thursday, September 26, 2013. The move comes in response to Cory Monteith’s death on July 13, 2013 caused by a mixture of heroin and alcohol. The 31 year old actor was best known for playing Finn Hudson on the Fox series and the shift in premiere dates accommodates the delay in the start of production which is now set for sometime in early August in order to give the cast and crew time to personally deal with the loss of their friend and co-worker.

20th Century Fox Television and Fox Broadcasting Company also wanted Monteith and Glee fans to know that charities he was involved with over the years are accepting donations in his name:

James Purefoy is Sort of Back for Season 2 of ‘The Following’

Just on the off chance you watch Fox’s hit drama series The Following and haven’t yet caught up on the season finale (what’s taking you so long?), I’m not going to spoil it by spelling out exactly what happens to James Purefoy’s character. Suffice it to say that his fans probably weren’t thrilled with the events that unfolded in that final season one episode, and his return to the series for season two was seriously in question.

We kind of got the answer as to whether he’ll be back or not from the man himself. Purefoy showed up with the cast of The Following at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con to discuss season one and tease viewers with hints about what we can expect from season two during a jam-packed panel at the sold-out event.

Set in 2024, Star-Crossed finds the aliens now stranded on our planet for 10 years and after having been kept in a guarded camp, the teenage aliens are about to venture out into the human population and go somewhere incredibly dangerous – high school.

The Star-Crossed Plot:

When Emery was 6 years old, an alien spacecraft crash-landed in her small town. Whether they came in peace or with more sinister intentions didn’t matter: a fierce battle erupted as humans fought for control over their new rivals, an alien species called the Atrians. In the midst of the conflict, Roman, a 6-year-old Atrian boy, found his way to a shed behind Emery’s house, where she protected him from harm, bringing him food, comfort – and friendship. In their brief time together, Emery and Roman forged a deep bond, but the authorities wasted no time tracking Roman down and capturing him in a violent confrontation.

Emery has grown up believing that Roman was killed that day. Ten years later, the Atrians have been acclimated to life on Earth, but they are interned in a heavily-guarded camp known as the Sector to keep them separate from humans. Now, for the first time, a group of Atrian teens will enroll in a suburban human high school, with the goal of testing the feasibility of human/alien integration. The eyes of the nation and the whole world are fixed on this historical social experiment, an endeavor fraught with suspicion and fear.

In the mayhem of the first day, Emery is amazed to learn that Roman was not killed by the authorities and is, in fact, one of the Atrian students. Their childhood bond is quickly rekindled – in a school and a society that distrusts everything about the Atrians, Emery and Roman have found each other again. However, their relationship is threatened by the small-mindedness of their respective communities and the political agendas of people in power.

While the world around them rages with anger and prejudice, their bond becomes increasingly strong and increasingly dangerous. As an epic Romeo and Juliet romance unfolds, a violent encounter between Roman’s father and Emery’s father occurs in the Sector. Can Roman and Emery’s love – and peace between the species – survive?

Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan Discuss ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The CW has a huge presence at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and one of the most anticipated panels was with Beauty and the Beast stars Kristin Kreuk (the Beauty) and Jay Ryan (the Beast). The show has a passionate fan following, and the two lead actors promise this upcoming season won’t disappoint.

In addition to taking part in a jam-packed Q&A session with fans, Kreuk and Ryan also took the time to sit down with the press to further explore what we can expect when the new season kicks off in October.

Max Greenfield is Officially in ‘Veronica Mars’

We all pretty much knew this already, so this is hardly new casting info, but Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas has just officially announced the addition of Max Greenfield (New Girl) to the film’s cast. Greenfield will be reprising his role as Leo D’Amato in the feature film based on the popular television series.

Says Thomas: “When I first reached out to Max about being in the movie, he said he’d do the movie for free and pay for his own travel. This is only one of the many reasons I love Max. It’s also why actors have agents. (Don’t worry, SAG! We are paying Max!)”

And here’s Greenfield’s special message for fans:
