The Plot:

Marvel’s Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him.

As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Kenny Rogers, Bobby Bare, and Jack Clement are New Country Music Hall of Fame Members

Bobby Bare, “Cowboy” Jack Clement, and Kenny Rogers are the newest members of the Country Music Hall of Fame as just announced by the Country Music Association. Announcing the honorees, CMA Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore said, “The highest musical honor achievable for a Country Music artist or industry leader is to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and these are all outstanding and highly deserving individuals.”

Moore continued: “‘Cowboy’ has been responsible for producing many of the iconic songs in Country Music. Bobby pioneered the Country concept album and was one of the first artists to take the format to Europe. And Kenny’s crossover success throughout a lengthy career introduced Country Music to a much wider audience.”

According to CMA, Rogers has earned a spot in the “Modern Era Artist” category, Bare is being inducted in the “Veterans Era Artist” category, and Clement will be joining the Hall of Fame in the “Non-Performer” category. With their entry into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the membership will expand from 118 to 121 members. Bare, Clement, and Rogers will be inducted at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum later this year in the new CMA Theater.

Responses from the New Hall of Fame Members:

“This is big – an honor and the validation of a dream, totally unexpected,” said Bare. “Now I’ll be famous forever. Thanks to all of my supporters and thank you CMA.”

“I’ve been chosen for the Country Music Hall of Fame? I thought I was already in the Hall of Fame,” said Clement. “I could have gotten in there any time I wanted. Kyle [Young] gave me a key.”

“When I was young, my dad said, ‘Son, you have to think big to accomplish small’ and the Country Music Hall of Fame was as big as it gets,” said Rogers. “He wanted that for me. So every record I’ve ever made, every concert I’ve performed, and every song I’ve written was done for the single purpose of achieving that goal.

I’m sure you can imagine how special it is and how exciting it was when Steve Moore called me with the news of my acceptance. It’s not the end of my journey, but it is certainly the high point, no matter what else I accomplish. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all the members who voted for me and all the friends who encouraged and believed in me, and my dad, for his vision of success.”

‘Longmire’ and ‘The Glades’ Premiere Dates Set

A&E Network has announced the premiere dates of returning series The Glades and Longmire. The popular shows will be back on air on May 27, 2013, with Longmire returning for season two and The Glades back for season four.

Per A&E, the dramatic series The Glades will air at 9pm ET/PT, and the crime thriller Longmire will air at 10pm ET/PT. The Glades season three averaged 4.1 million viewers while Longmire‘s debut season earned it the #1 spot in A&E’s original drama series viewers.

Details on Longmire:

Longmire, based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson, returns for its second season with more murder, secrets and betrayals from Absaroka County, Wyoming. The new season finds reluctant hero Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) back in the saddle after coming to terms with the devastating loss of his wife and dedicated to serving his community. But storm clouds are brewing…

Walt’s reign as Sheriff hangs in the balance as he fights for re-election against rival, and his own deputy, Branch Connally (Bailey Chase). Walt’s right-hand deputy, Vic Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is visited by the ghost of a past she’d rather forget. Walt’s daughter Cady (Cassidy Freeman) searches for answers about her mother’s murder, while Walt’s possible connection to the death of his wife’s killer threatens to sweep his loyal friend Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) into the mix. As the open skies darken and the winds kick up, Walt and his deputies plunge head-first into the storm… confronting the question: how will each react when it hits?

In the season premiere episode of Longmire, a prison transfer goes awry and Walt urgently pursues a serial killer and his fellow escapees, who have taken hostages, up a mountain. Facing an impending storm with very limited resources, Walt’s mettle is put to the test and hypothermic hallucinations force him to face his past.

Details on The Glades:

Season four of The Glades is packed with even more mystery, intrigue and fun from Florida’s favorite homicide investigator – the disarmingly charming Detective Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore). From haunted plantations to rum-soaked shot girls and even a zombie apocalypse, Longworth is once again solving murders that can only happen in the Sunshine State. This season also promises more drama on the personal front for Longworth, Carlos (Carlos Gomez), Manus (Michelle Hurd) and Daniel (Jordan Wall) as friends and relatives from near and far arrive on the scene. But the big question remains to be answered as Longworth waits for Callie (Kiele Sanchez) to accept his marriage proposal, or not.In the season four premiere episode of The Glades, Longworth must delve into a 150-year-old ghost story to solve a murder when the dead body of an heiress is found in a haunted plantation house.

Conan O’Brien vs Chelsea Handler Naked in the Shower

Conan O’Brien invades Chelsea Handler’s shower stall as he returns to his old set for the very first time in this ‘naked’ video featuring the two late-night talk show hosts. Conan is still angry Chelsea took over his old studio and that his new parking space is four inches smaller than the one Chelsea’s car now occupies.

The two do a bit of slapping and yelling in this Chelsea Lately sketch reminiscent of Chelsea’s shower battle with Sandra Bullock.

TNT has announced the start of production on the private-eye series King & Maxwell starring Rebecca Romijn and Jon Tenney. The series is based on characters created by David Baldacci, with Baldacci serving as a consultant on the show.

In addition to Romijn and Tenney, the King & Maxwell cast includes Michael O’Keefe and Chris Butler. TNT has set a June 10, 2013 premiere date for the series.

The Plot: Sean King and Michelle Maxwell aren’t your typical private investigators. Both are former Secret Service agents, and their unique skills – not to mention their razor-sharp chemistry – give them a leg up on conventional law enforcement. Maxwell is a former Olympic athlete who uses her brains, beauty and Beltway connections to solve cases. King’s career in the Secret Service ended when the presidential candidate he was assigned to protect was assassinated, sending him on a downward spiral.

Today, King has added a law degree to his arsenal of skills, allowing him to navigate the system in ways a typical private investigator never could. Along the way, King and Maxwell clash over everything, from her garbage-strewn car to his love of wine over beer.

Michael Imperioli Joins ‘Californication’

Best known for his role as ‘Christopher’ on The Sopranos, Emmy Award winner Michael Imperioli has joined the cast of Showtime’s Californication. Imperioli will guest star on season seven of the critically acclaimed series, joining the cast in the role of Rick Rath.

Rick is described as an old-school television producer who will play a “key role in Hank’s latest venture.”

Season seven will begin shooting this month and will air in 2014.

In addition to his work on The Sopranos, Imperioli’s credits include Law & Order, New York Undercover, NYPD Blue, Life on Mars and Detroit 1-8-7.

The Plot: Californication stars David Duchovny as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody who is co-parenting his college-aged daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for her mother, his ex-girlfriend and muse Karen (Natascha McElhone). Best friend and agent Charlie (Evan Handler) and Charlie’s ex-wife Marcy (Pamela Adlon) are always there for moral (and immoral) support.

‘Elysium’ Movie Trailer Starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster

It’s arrived – the first trailer for Elysium starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley has been released by TriStar Pictures. And for those wondering if writer/director Neill Blomkamp’s follow-up to District 9 would live up to his debut film, I’m pretty sure the trailer answers that question in the affirmative.

Opening in theaters on August 9, 2013, Elysium also features Diego Luna, Alice Braga, and William Fichtner.

The Plot:

In the year 2154, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined planet. The people of Earth are desperate to escape the crime and poverty that is now rampant throughout the land. The only man with the chance to bring equality to these worlds is Max (Damon), an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium.

With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission – one that pits him against Elysium’s Secretary Delacourt (Foster) and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well.
