Yes, it’s true. There is a documentary series based on the lives of porn stars in the works. The series, Amateur America, is backed by executive producer Matt Musolino and the Grand Schema production company and will focus on adult film stars James Deen, Jayden Cole, and Jayden James.
According to the official announcement, the series will follow Deen, Cole, and James as they “start up a new content company and search out a new talent roster.”
“I’m excited to have this show come to fruition after a lot of hard work put in by everyone involved. It’s going to be fun and entertaining, while showing a completely different side of an industry that has been taboo for a long time,” stated Musolino.
Executive producer Christopher J. Scott of Grand Schema said, “This show will give a behind-the-scenes look at an otherwise shunned industry, and bring out the true stories of the people that make it one of the most profitable businesses in the world.”
“I am stoked to start this project. I hope people will enjoy the sneak peek into the adult world as well as seeing what our real personalities are,” said Deen.
Jayden Cole added, “I’m excited to showcase the positive aspect of an industry that is consistently portrayed in a negative light in mainstream media. We’ve got a great team and I’m looking forward to documenting our adventures!”
