Must…not…watch… Sorry, I just don’t have the strength to resist from clicking on play and watching the extended trailer for the new Here Comes Honey Boo Boo show, a spin-off from Toddlers and Tiaras. I wish I could say no and mean it, but I can’t. I just can’t. It’s going to be one of those shows I’d never ever admit to actually checking in on occasionally.
Must…not…add…to…DVR…

‘Chicago Fire’ Season 1 – Cast, Plot Details, and Trailer

NBC’s one-hour drama Chicago Fire is set to premiere on October 10, 2012. The new series follows fire station 51, focusing on the work and private lives of its firefighters.
The series stars Jesse Spencer as Lt Matthew Casey, Taylor Kinner as Lt Kelly Severide,Teri Reeves as Hallie, Eamonn Walker as Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, and Monica Raymund as Gabriela Dawson. Charlie Barnett plays Peter Mills and David Eigenberg is Christopher Herrmann.
The Plot: For the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51, no occupation is more stressful or dangerous, yet so rewarding and exhilarating. These courageous men and women are among the elite who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way and whose actions make the difference between life and death.
The pressure to perform on such a high level has a way of taking a personal toll, sometimes putting team members from the Truck and the specially-trained Rescue Squad at odds with each other. Despite any differences, this is an extended family, and when it’s “go time,” everyone inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other.
When a tragedy claims one of their own, there’s plenty of guilt and blame to go around. Lt. Matthew Casey (Spencer), in charge of the Truck, tries to carry on, but butts heads with the brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Kinney) of the Rescue Squad – and each blames the other for their fallen team member. Adding to the turmoil, Casey, unbeknownst to his colleagues, is in the midst of a separation from Hallie (Reeves).

Dierks Bentley to Take Part in the CMA Songwriters Series

Dierks Bentley will be joining Jim Beavers (“Felt Good On My Lips” recorded by Tim McGraw), Jaren Johnston (“You Gonna Fly” recorded by Keith Urban), and Bob DiPiero (“You Can’t Take the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl” recorded by Brooks & Dunn) at the CMA Songwriters Series taking place on September 13, 2012 at New York City’s Joe’s Pub. DiPiero is hosting the series which gives music fans a look behind the scenes at the stories that inspired some well-known songs.
“The CMA Songwriter series is a really cool gig,” said Bentley. “Joe’s Pub is so intimate and the audience is a huge part of those shows because they’re so close. It’s like everybody in the room is in on a secret or something. You’ve got four guys with guitars, telling stories and drinking whiskey…anything can happen!”
More on Dierks Bentley [Courtesy of CMA]: CMA Award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley has forged his own brand of Country Music combining classic Country songwriting, influences of bluegrass instrumentation and the energy of rock & roll. The Walking Dead Season 2 DVD – New Clip
This new clip from the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of The Walking Dead season two has comic book creator Robert Kirkman discussing the differences between his comics and AMC’s successful TV series. The 4-disc DVD set is hitting stores on August 28, 2012 with all 13 episodes from the second season as well as behind the scenes featurettes and audio commentaries.
Watch the clip:
Season 2 Plot:
When we last left the The Walking Dead, the characters were in the midst of a high-intensity struggle to survive, fleeing the CDC as it burst into flames. In Season 2, they are still fighting zombies–and each other– facing more threats and obstacles than ever before.
Based on the hugely successful and popular comic books written by Robert Kirkman, AMC’s The Walking Dead captures the ongoing human drama after a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home. However, instead of the zombies, it’s the living who still remain that may be the biggest threat.

H+ The Digital Series Premieres on YouTube

Bryan Singer – the filmmaker behind the first two X-Men films as well as The Usual Suspects – has turned to the web for his newest project, H+ The Digital Series. The online live-action series features Alexis Denisof, Hannah Simone, David Clayton Rogers, Sean Gunn, and Samuel Vauramo, and is currently available on Youtube. Singer produced the series with Stewart Hendler directing and John Cabrera & Cosimo De Tommaso handling scripting duties.
“This multifaceted, sci-fi series is perfect for the Internet as it tells the story from different characters’ perspectives – jumping from time, place and viewpoint as the narrative comes together,” said Bryan Singer. “These short, addictive episodes each end with a cliffhanger. As more episodes debut, the audience has the unique ability to rearrange them sequentially or by characters’ storylines or locations, so that they can retell our story in their own preference.”
The Plot:
H+ The Digital Series takes viewers on an episodic, apocalyptic journey into the future where consumers are rapidly installing a chip called “HPlus” into their nervous systems that allows them to access the Internet 24 hours a day – by just thinking it. One day, a virus is released – causing a third of the world’s population to die instantly. The series deals with the massive political and human changes that take place, the fight for survival and the mystery to discover who is behind this atrocity.

The Plot:
Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who’d rather listen to what’s coming out of her headphones than what’s coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together, in the new out-loud comedy Pitch Perfect.
When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a cappella. This could wind up either the coolest thing they’ll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both.
Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed-up and arranged like you’ve never heard before, Pitch Perfect is directed by Jason Moore, who opened our eyes to the very misbehaved life of puppets in the surprise Broadway sensation Avenue Q.
Abby Lee Miller Gets a New Reality Show

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I’m addicted to Dance Moms. And now Lifetime’s feeding into this obsession with a new series featuring Dance Moms‘ Abby Lee Miller.
The network says Miller will be the lead judge on the new reality competition series Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. Joining Miller on the judging panel are Pussycat Dolls’ founder Robin Antin and dancer/choreographer Richard Jackson. Kevin Manno’s been tapped to host the series, which will air this fall.
The 10-episode first season will feature 12 talented boys and girls who’ll be competing for $100,000 and a scholarship to the Young Dancer Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
The Details [Courtesy of Lifetime]:
Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition will begin by following a dozen aspiring dancers — ages six through 13 – who will learn new routines and compete in a number of challenges designed to test their skills when they perform before Miller, Antin and Jackson, as well as a live audience, at the historic Los Angeles Theatre. Along the way, each competitor will be accompanied and coached by his or her own mother, who will make critical training, costume, music and choreographic decisions for their child while also navigating the precarious waters of the other highly competitive parents.
As Miller, Antin and Jackson must make the sometimes easy and other times difficult decision to eliminate one dancer each week, the intense on stage competition and stakes between dancers and mothers increase throughout the season – culminating with a finale performance that assuredly will change the winning dancer’s life forever.
