It’s been a rocky year for mob wife Renee as she learned her husband, Junior, was cooperating with the FBI and had been wearing a wire during conversations with her dad and their friends and associates. And as the second season of VH1’s Mob Wives draws to a close, the network’s promising even more shocks and surprises.

The season 2 finale airs on May 13, 2012 followed by a two-part reunion special hosted by Joy Behar on May 20th and 27th. The 2-part special will delve into the lives of the women featured on Mob Wives, with new details divulged on Junior’s betrayal and the ongoing fight between Drita and Karen & Ramona.

Here are the details on the season 2 finale:

“When the season began, Renee was in the hospital after her nearly fatal plastic surgery debacle and Drita’s feud with Karen was still heated, to say the least. We also met two new Mob Wives, Big Ang and Karen loyalist, Ramona. Along the way we saw Junior turn ‘rat’ after wearing a wire to send Renee’s father back to prison. We also saw the rest of the women struggle as the men in their lives dealt with the harsh realities of life both in and after prison. In this season’s finale, Drita and Karen decide to have a private ‘sit down’ to see if they can finally put the past behind them. But after all their animosity, is there any way this can end well? Is it just another recipe for disaster?”

VH1 also confirmed they’re bringing back the reality series for a third season set to air in 2013. Season 2 had an increase in viewership of 25% over season 1, totaling over 1.6 million viewers.

‘Workaholics’ Returns for Season 3 on May 29th

Workaholics Banner

Season three of Comedy Central’s Workaholics kicks off on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30pm with the first of 10 brand new episodes. Last season, the comedy series averaged an impressive 2.2 million total viewers and was the “highest-rated series in its timeslot across all of television among men 18-34 and men 18-24,” according to the network.

For Those Who Haven’t Caught On to Workaholics:

“From the minds of the hilarious and irreverent Internet sketch group Mail Order Comedy, Workaholics is a single-camera comedy featuring three friends who work together from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7. Dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon are not things these guys are used to. They do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they show up late, leave drunk and always live for the day…even if they don’t know what day it is.

Whether it’s Blake (Blake Anderson) dressed in a bear coat, Adam (Adam Devine) singing about Catherine Zeta Jones while high on mushrooms or The Ders (Anders Holm) celebrating his birthday with a drinking triathlon, the boys always seem to run into trouble wherever they go.”

New ‘Killer Joe’ Trailer and Poster

Director William Friedkin’s Killer Joe is coming to theaters with an NC-17 rating after Friedkin opted not to make the cuts required by the MPAA in order to reduce that rating to the less restrictive but still adult R rating. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch, Juno Temple, and Thomas Haden Church, Killer Joe was adapted by Tracy Letts for the screen and is based on Letts’ play of the same name.

The Plot:

When 22-year-old Chris (Emile Hirsch) finds himself in debt to a drug lord, he hires a hit man to dispatch his mother, whose $50,000 life insurance policy benefits his sister Dottie (Juno Temple). Chris finds Joe Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a creepy, crazy Dallas cop who moonlights as a contract killer. When Chris can’t pay Joe upfront, Joe sets his sight on Dottie as collateral for the job. The contract killer and his hostage develop an unusual bond. Like from a modern-day, twisted fairy tale, “Killer Joe” Cooper becomes the prince to Dottie’s Cinderella.

Killer Joe will be released on July 27, 2012.

First Look: ‘Argo’ Trailer Starring Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck directs himself in the Warner Bros Pictures film, Argo, based on true events. The first trailer for the R-rated October 12, 2012 release has just debuted, along with the film’s first poster.

The Plot:

Based on true events, Argo chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis – the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador.

Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA “exfiltration” specialist named Tony Mendez (Affleck) comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.
