Roadside Attractions is set to release the ensemble comedy Friends with Kids in theaters on March 9, 2012, and they’ve just unleashed the first trailer to show off what’s in store. Written and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein), Friends with Kids stars Westfeldt, Adam Scott, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns.
The Plot:
“Friends With Kids is a daring and poignant ensemble comedy about a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
There are big laughs and unexpected emotional truths as this unconventional ‘experiment’ leads everyone in the group to question the nature of friendship, family and, finally, true love.”
LIVE! with Kelly is preparing for an all-women co-host week, kicking off on January 23, 2012 with reality TV celebrity Kim Kardashian. Apparently the LIVE! with Kelly people don’t know about that campaign to get all things Kardashian off TV…
No other co-hosts for the all-women week – January 23-27, 2012 – were announced. Per the press release, “five fabulous women” will sit in the co-host chair as the hunt for a replacement for Regis Philbin continues.
“The caliber of work being done on television these days is incredible, and our director nominees in each category are an indispensable element to the success of every project — establishing and enhancing the vision and tone, eliciting outstanding performances and furthering the narrative arc through their creative choices,” stated Hackford. “That they are able to create excellence regardless of obstacles like tighter schedules and in an environment in which audiences have more entertainment options to choose from — is a true testament to the importance of directorial skill in television.”
Winners will be announced at the 64th Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Los Angeles.

Nicholas Hoult stars as R, a zombie with feelings, and Teresa Palmer plays Julie, the living, breathing human he falls in love with, in Warm Bodies. Based on the bestselling book by Isaac Marion, the PG-13 zombie romantic comedy is set to open in theaters on February 1, 2013.
Directed by Jonathan Levine, Warm Bodies also stars Rob Corddry as M, Cory Hardrict as Kevin, Dave Franco as Perry, and John Malkovich as General Grigio.
The Plot: After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
In addition to Seyfried, Hardrict and Mazer, the cast of Lovelace includes Peter Sarsgaard, Demi Moore, Adam Brody, Eric Roberts, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are directing the film from a screenplay by Andy Bellin (Trust). Linda Lovelace’s estate is cooperating with the production.
The Story:
From the birth of the sexual revolution to the height of the feminist movement, Lovelace depicts the life of Linda Boreman who as ‘Linda Lovelace’ became the first erotic superstar.
USA Co-Presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel made the announcement saying the show will return later this year with A-list guest stars. The series wraps up season six on February 29, 2012.
Roday and Hill broke the news to fans through the show’s Facebook page and Tweet account. They shared multiple pieces of a pineapple puzzle, with the final puzzle piece unlocking a video message from Roday and Hill about the renewal.
“We are always trying to find ways to reward our Psych brand ambassadors for their loyalty and passion and social media plays a critical role in how we connect with the people who matter most — the fans,” stated McCumber and Wachtel. “It was exciting to deliver this historical news to them first and before traditional media.”
The Plot:
This cult favorite stars Roday as a police consultant who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute the precinct detectives think he’s psychic. With help from his best friend and reluctant sidekick (Hill), he continues to solve the mysterious and often bizarre crimes of the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Billboard’s reporting Beyonce and Jay-Z’s little girl, Blue Ivy Carter, has just set a new Billboard record. Just a few days after her birth, little baby Blue is now the “youngest person ever credited with gracing a Billboard chart.”
Within days of her birth on January 7th, Jay-Z recorded the very sentimental, touching “Glory” which was released with a “featuring B.I.C.” credit. Their song debuted at #74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated Jan. 21) and, according to Nielsen BDS, has 1.7 million impressions on 54 radio stations (in case you’re really into stats).
And for those of you scratching your head over how Blue could have beaten Stevie Wonder’s daughter’s sweet little cries on “Isn’t She Lovely,” Billboard has an explanation. Wonder never officially credited her on the track and it didn’t make it onto a Billboard chart until she was two.
Master Shortie and Bruno Mars collaborate on the love song “All I Need,” leaked to YouTube and now available – legally – for download. [Caution: the language makes it unsuitable for work.]
Joining Tatum on the February 4th episode will be musical guest Bon Iver. The group’s second album, the self-titled Bon Iver, dropped in June and they received two Grammy nominations for the single, “Holocene.”
The musical act on February 11th will be Karmin, also making their first appearance on the show.
