‘Black Mirror’ Season 6 Preview: Teaser Trailer, Cast and Photos

Series creator, writer, and executive producer Charlie Brooker promises season six of Netflix’s Black Mirror will pull off twists and turns that no one will see coming. “Partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both me and the viewer, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect,” explained Brooker in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum.

Brooker added: “The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through — but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.”

Netflix just released the first teaser trailer, poster, and photos from the sixth season of the critically acclaimed anthology series, which is targeting a June 2023 premiere.

In addition, the streaming service released the cast list – but not episode descriptions.
Season six will feature Aaron Paul, Anjana Vasan, Annie Murphy, Auden Thornton, Ben Barnes, Clara Rugaard, Daniel Portman, Danny Ramirez, and Himesh Patel. John Hannah, Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Michael Cera, Monica Dolan, Myha’la Herrold, Paapa Essiedu, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek Pinault, Samuel Blenkin, and Zazie Beetz are also starring in the upcoming season.

Jessica Rhoades, Annabel Jones, and Bisha K. Ali join Brooker as executive producers, with Broke & Bones producing.

Netflix’s offers this description of the six-time Emmy Award-winning series:

“Expect the unexpected. The long-awaited return of Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series which reinvents itself with each new episode. The sixth season of Black Mirror is the most unpredictable, unclassifiable, and unexpected yet.”

‘Platonic’ First Trailer Starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne

Neighbors stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne reunite for Apple TV+’s Platonic. The new comedy series, which just released a hilarious official trailer, finds Rogen and Byrne attempting to prove it’s totally possible for a man and a woman to be just friends. That’s sort of obvious, right, since the show’s title is Platonic.

The series also stars LLuke Macfarlane (Bros), Tre Hale (Sh*thouse), Carla Gallo (Bones), and Andrew Lopez (Blockers).

Nick Stoller (director of the Neighbors films, Bros, and Get Him to the Greek) and Francesca Delbanco (Friends from College) created Platonic and serve as writers, directors, and executive producers. Rogen, Byrne, and Conor Welch also executive produce.

The 10-episode half-hour comedy premieres with the release of the first three episodes on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

First Look: ‘A Haunting in Venice’ Teaser Trailer, Poster and Photos

Shortly after debuting the A Haunting in Venice teaser trailer at CinemaCon – the annual convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners – 20th Century Studios brought the intense, nearly two-minute trailer online. The studio also released a teaser poster and stills from the upcoming supernatural thriller directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on Agatha Christie’s Hallowe’en Party.

Branagh reprises his role as Hercule Poirot after playing the iconic detective in 2022’s Death on the Nile and 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express. The impressive ensemble also includes Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone), Jamie Dornan (Belfast, directed by Branagh), Tina Fey (30 Rock), Kyle Allen (Rosaline), Camille Cottin (Call My Agent), Jude Hill (Belfast), Ali Khan (6 Underground), Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown), and Riccardo Scamarcio (Caravaggio’s Shadow).

Oscar nominee Michael Green (Logan) adapted Agatha Christie’s novel and Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg serve as producers. Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon executive produce.

Oscar, Grammy, and BAFTA winner Hildur Guđnadóttir (Joker) will compose the score. Guđnadóttir is the first female composer to win Academy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA awards in the same season.

A Haunting in Venice opens in theaters on September 15, 2023.

‘Next Goal Wins’ Delivers a Winning First Trailer

Writer/director Taika Waititi highlights his losing credentials at the beginning of the official Next Goal Wins trailer. He lost out on a Best Picture Oscar for Jojo Rabbit and even missed out on taking home a Teen Choice Award for Thor: Ragnarok. Of course, given that Next Goal Wins is about a team of losers, Waititi refrains from boasting about his Oscar win for Jojo Rabbit‘s screenplay, his Independent Spirit Awards win for Reservation Dogs, or his Writers Guild Awards win.

Next Goal Wins is inspired by a true story that the trailer teases “pretty much actually happened.” Michael Fassbender leads the cast as soccer coach Thomas Rongen, a down-on-his-luck, recently fired coach who is charged with turning around the world’s worst soccer team. Rongen reluctantly takes over head coach duties after the American Samoa soccer team lost to Australia 31-0 in 2001.

The underdog comedy features Elisabeth Moss, Oscar Kightley, Uli Latukefu, and Rachel House. Kaimana, David Fane, Beulah Koale, Chris Alosio, Taika Waititi, Will Arnett, and frequent Waititi collaborator Rhys Darby also star.

Searchlight Pictures will be releasing Next Goal Wins in theaters on November 17, 2023.

Accused Season 1 Description:

Accused is a collection of 15 intense, topical, and exquisitely human stories of crime and punishment. Each episode is a fast-paced provocative thriller exploring a different crime, in a different city, with an entirely original cast. Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning crime anthology, each episode opens in a courtroom on the defendant, with viewers knowing nothing about their crime or how they ended up on trial.

Told from the defendant’s point of view through flashbacks, the show holds a mirror up to current times with evocative and emotional stories. In the end, audiences will discover how an ordinary person gets caught up in extraordinary circumstances and how one impulsive decision can impact the course of that life – and the lives of others – forever.
