Starz has just released a clip from the upcoming fourth episode of American Gods season one. The new clip features Emily Browning as Laura Moon and Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon talking about what happens after you die. Episode four is titled ‘Git Gone’ and, according to Starz, “retells the events of the previous three episodes from Laura’s point of view expanding on the character from the book and adding new depth to their relationship.”

Starz is currently airing season one of American Gods, based on Neil Gaiman’s bestselling novel, on Sunday nights at 9pm.

In addition to Ricky Whittle and Emily Browning, the season one cast includes Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Gillian Anderson as Media, Kristin Chenoweth as Easter, Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith, Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya, Peter Stormare as Czernobog, Chris Obi as Anubis, Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis, and Corbin Bernsen as Vulcan. Bryan Fuller and Michael Green are the showrunners/writers and executive produce with Neil Gaiman and director David Slade.

The Plot: Adapted from the award-winning novel, American Gods posits a different kind of war brewing—one between Old Gods and New. The traditional Old Gods, with mythological roots from around the world, fear irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the New Gods. Shadow Moon (Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory.
