Parks & Recreation‘s Amy Poehler and Michael Schur reunite for Peacock’s new comedy series Dig. Peacock just released the official trailer for the 10-episode first season, which stars Poehler as an archaeologist who goes to extreme lengths to get credit for her work instead of letting her boss claim it for himself.
In addition to Amy Poehler, season one stars Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, and Fina Strazza. Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing, and Bonita Friedericy guest stars.
“Dig follows a team of dedicated archaeologists (and less-dedicated college students) who spend their summer working on a dig site in Greece,” reads Peacock’s synopsis. “Their discovery of a rare artifact sends them on the adventure of a lifetime.”
Poehler and Schur created the series and Schur and J.J. Philbin serve as co-showrunners.
Poehler and Michael Schur co-wrote the pilot, and Schur and J.J. Philbin guide the series as showrunners. Poehler, Schur, and Philbin also executive produce the series along with Morgan Sackett, Dean Holland, Kate Arend, Jordan Grief, Dave Becky, David Miner, and Sharon Jackson. Dig is produced by Fremulon, Paper Kite, Duck Duck Films, Dunshire, 3 Arts, and Ocean Avenue.
All 10 episodes will be released on November 23, 2026.
