Billy the Kid takes on the Santa Fe Ring in season two of MGM+’s Western romantic adventure. The trailer for Billy the Kid‘s second season shows Billy declaring war and willing to do whatever it takes to take down his enemies.
Tom Blyth, soon to be seen in The Hunger Games prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, leads the cast as William H. Bonney. Daniel Webber (Escape from Pretoria) stars as Jesse Evans, Eileen O’Higgins plays Kathleen McCarty, Sean Owen Roberts is Bob Olinger, and Dakota Daulby plays John Beckwith. Ryan Kennedy is Ash Upson, Ian Tracey is Frank Baker, Nuria Vegas is Dulcinea, and Vincent Walsh plays Lawrence Murphy.
MGM+ will be splitting season two into two four-episode halves. Episode one premieres on October 15, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT. Episode two arrives on October 22, 2023 followed by episode three on October 29, 2023 and episode four on November 5, 2023.
Part two will debut in 2024.
Michael Hirst (Vikings) created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Donald De Line (De Line Pictures), Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey (Amblin Television) also executive produce.

The eight-episode first season comprised of hour-long episodes is an epic romantic adventure based on the life of famous American outlaw Billy the Kid (Blyth), also known as William H. Bonney — from his humble Irish roots to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond.
Daniel Webber plays Jesse Evans, another famous outlaw and leader of the Seven Rivers Gang. When they meet, Jesse has already embraced a life of crime: robbing stores and cattle rustling. Billy is attracted to his wild and reckless character and becomes Billy’s doppelganger of sorts — his shadow self, forever inviting him over to the dark side of life.
The epic romantic adventure inspired by the life of America’s most infamous outlaw continues in season two, as Billy and his allies square off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt powers of the Santa Fe Ring. When shots are fired, the conflict erupts into the bloody Lincoln County War. Amidst the fighting, Billy will struggle to hang onto his soul – and to the love of his life.
