Did anyone stand a chance against Daniel Day-Lewis in the Best Actor category at the 2013 Academy Awards? No. Day-Lewis was the frontrunner from the minute Lincoln hit theaters and he never lost the pole position throughout the lengthy awards season.

Oscar favorite Meryl Streep had the honor of presenting Day-Lewis with his third Academy Award, and the critically acclaimed actor showed off his sense of humor by incorporating a job switch with Meryl into his acceptance speech.
