Netflix’s First Kill has a real Buffy and Angel vibe going on, with a teen vampire falling in love with a girl born into a family of vampire hunters. The trailer sets up the high stakes (see what I did there? Stakes!) romance, with Sarah Catherine Hook starring as the vampire ready to make her first kill and Imani Lewis as the vampire hunter she falls hard for.
The season one cast also includes Elizabeth Mitchell as Margo, Will Swenson as Sebastian, Aubion Wise as Talia, Jason Robert Moore as Jack, and Gracie Dzienny as Elinor. Dylan McNamara is Oliver, Dominic Goodman is Apollo, Phillip Mullings Jr is Theo, MK xyz plays Tess, Jonas Dylan Allen is Ben, and Roberto Mendez stars as Noah.
First Kill‘s based on bestselling author Victoria V.E. Schwab’s short story, with Schwab creating the series and serving as writer and executive producer. Felicia D. Henderson writes, executive produces, and is the season one showrunner. Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss of Belletrist Productions also executive produce.
The eight-episode first season premieres on Netflix on June 10, 2022.
Netflix’s official plot description:

But much to Juliette’s surprise, Calliope is a vampire hunter, from a family of celebrated slayers. Both find that the other won’t be so easy to kill and, unfortunately, way too easy to fall for…”
