Over 10 million viewers checked out the Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage series premiere during its first seven days in release. Those numbers are impressive enough for CBS to announce the half-hour comedy series will be sticking around for a full first season.
“With the resounding success of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, we were instantly on board when Chuck, Steven and Steve brought us the idea to further explore this world through Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” stated Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters and we can’t wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver.”
The cast is led by Montana Jordan as Georgie and Emily Osment as Mandy. Rachel Bay Jones, Will Sasso, Dougie Baldwin and Jesse Prez also star. Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland created the series and serve as executive producers.
The new comedy premiered on October 17, 2024. New episodes air on Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT, followed by Ghosts at 8:30pm ET/PT.
