Dominic West (The Agency) and Sienna Miller (Jack Ryan: Ghost War) star as a couple involved in a legal battle in the new HBO series War. Lupin‘s George Kay created the series, which follows nasty divorce proceedings and the lawyers who handle the big-money cases.
War will premiere on HBO on October 1, 2026. New episodes of the eight-episode season will air on Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT.
“War is a high-stakes, legal drama following the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers as firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing ambitious young lawyer Jonathan ‘Johnny’ Warren into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything,” reads HBO’s synopsis. “Season one follows the explosive divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson and international film star Carla Duval, as Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients.”
West stars as Morgan Henderson, Miller plays Carla Duval, and Archie Renaux is Jonathan Warren. Phoebe Fox plays Serena Byrne and James McArdle stars as Nicholas Taylor, partners in life and business at Taylor & Byrne. Nina Sosanya is Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens is St. John Smallwood, their counterparts and fierce rivals at Cathcarts & Sons.
The ensemble also includes Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Aran Murphy, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley, and Steve Furst.
George Kay created the series and serves as writer and executive producer. Ben Taylor is the lead director and an executive producer, along with New Pictures’ Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford and Sky’s Susan Breen, Andrea Dewsbury, and Megan Spanjian.
