Cast members from Netflix and Marvel’s Iron Fist made the trek to the Big Apple for the NY Comic Con, participating in a panel and releasing the first teaser trailer for the upcoming season. Among the actors who showed up at the NYCC were Finn Jones (Danny Rand), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Jessica Stroup (Joy Meachum), Tom Pelphrey (Ward Meachum), David Wenham (Harold Meachum), and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), joining showrunner/executive producer Scott Buck to discuss the new series which will debut on March 17, 2017 at 12:01am PT. Season one will be made up of 13 one-hour episodes.
For those who didn’t make it to the NYCC, Netflix quickly released the minute and a half teaser trailer online to an overwhelmingly positive reaction from Marvel fans.
The Plot: Billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
