Jennifer Lawrence Snags Favorite Movie Actress Honor

The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence picked up one of her first major awards of 2013 when she accepted the People’s Choice award for Favorite Movie Actress from presenters Stephen Amell and Morena Baccarin. Lawrence, looking gorgeous, said she was going to drop the award because she was sweating (that’s pure, unfiltered Jennifer) and even said Robert Downey Jr could confirm that she’s sweating because she sweated all over him when she shook his hand.

Laughing and telling herself to focus, Lawrence thanked the fans for their support.

“I wish this was like Mean Girls and I could just break this up and throw it at all of you, because you’re all responsible.”

Lawrence also won in the Favorite Face of Heroism category. Her competitors in that category were Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises), Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man), Kristen Stewart (Snow White and the Huntsman), and Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers).
