Netflix Releases Second Teaser for ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Reboot

Netflix is betting that audiences will want to revisit the world of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie, first published in 1932. The original series, starring Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, and Melissa Sue Anderson, premiered in 1974 and ran for nine seasons.

The new take on the popular classic book series premieres on July 9, 2026.

“Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.
